In another example of the way the three nations of North America are being drawn into a federation, or "merger," students from 10 universities in the U.S., Mexico and Canada are participating annually in a simulated "model Parliament." Under the sponsorship of the Canadian based North American Forum on Integration (NAFI), students met in the Mexican Senate for five days in May in an event dubbed "Triumvirate," with organizers declaring: "A North American Parliament is born." A similar event took place in the Canadian Senate in 2005. The intentions of organizers are clear. "The creation of a North American parliament, such as the one being simulated by these young people, should be considered," explained Raymond Chretien, the president of the Triumvirate and the former Canadian ambassador to both Mexico and the U.S.

WorldNUTdaily is really paranoid about this.
I'm beginning to suspect that these threads are being posted by bored DUers.
Raymond Chretien? any kin to Jacques?......The North American Union may become a reality in our lifetimes.......
Paranoid is exactly the right word.
"WorldNUTdaily is really paranoid about this."
And with good reason. The only countries to benefit will be mexico and, to a lesser extent, Canada, at the expenxse of the United States and its integrity.
Sorry, I'm an American and I will fight any attempt to change the United States into MexAmeriCan.
(But now that I think about it, Molson is owned by Coors, so maybe there is something to this NAU thing, after all).
"Paranoid is exactly the right word."
I don't understand why you say that. This is a real threat to the United States, as bad as al Qaeda or the Demoncrats, the enemy within.
They want to take this country and make it some UN-type Godless monster. Don't you understand that WorldNet sees that the sooner we stop this thing, the easier it will be?
Coors owns Molson? That's my "learn something new every day" item for today. Thanks!
That's fine, but there is no attempt going on. Just tin-foil conspiracy nuts spreading their disease.
Are you mixing medication and vitamin supplements..?
As a sophomore in high school, I participated in an exercise on the Middle East conflict, representing the Palestinians (the exercise ended when I got the Israeli rep. to hand over the Sinai Peninsula--chuckle). I didn't grow up to be a lib, or worse.
"That's fine, but there is no attempt going on. Just tin-foil conspiracy nuts spreading their disease."
What are these organizations like NASCO and the Texas Corridor group doing then? Are they imaginary? All the reports, such as the one from the Council on Foreigh Relations? Are they hallucinations?
"Are you mixing medication and vitamin supplements..?"
Bad. There's no call for personal insults here.
NASCO and the Texas Corridor are attempting to create trade corridors to facilitate trade agreements that are already in effect (NAFTA). And that's fine with me, as a Dallas resident I'm all for anything that will move shipping traffic outside the I-35 corridor.
Free trade is not a threat to American sovereignty.
But they have to stifle dissent by ridiculing the opposition early in the game. Otherwise twenty million illegal aliens will not be able to build that 'El Camino Real' that Americans won't build.
Think of all the lawyers who will be out of work if they can't do their 'eminent domain' thing for the next fifty years. Think of all the people who will go barefoot if they can't buy $6.00 shoes made by slave labor in China. Think of all the contraband drugs that won't be available to keep the people zonked out.
Would you deny Vicente his well-earned position as Prez of the NAU? Besides that, you are dis-allowing the manifest destiny of Mexico which will need the western side of the Camino Real to trash out for their righteous homeland.
;>
Thank you for the dose of reality.
They have to stifle dissent by ridiculing the opposition early in the game.
Your posts and your tag line scream Libertarian. How do you feel about the bill Senator Cronyn is sponsoring to build the super highway and other infrastructure in Mexico?
No, I'm not on any medications and I'm not supposed to be.
