Alaska Amber is alright I suppose but nothing outstanding. I just like the hint of hops but there was an IPA on sale at Safeway a few weeks back I liked but the brand name escapes me at the moment...one of those Portland breweries

Sure it wasn't Descuttes Inversion IPA? It's the only IPA I've seen at Safeway. Guess it could have been Full Sail.
