Naw, don't believe the "tried to hit the officer" stuff. If you're screwed up enough to do some of the other things she was observed doing, you're probably too screwed up to do anything with intent.

Besides, as I pointed out, even here in Nirvana where the cops are all perfect, they usually lie about why they shot and killed a motorist by saying "he tried to run me over".

It's just an excuse ~ kind of like claiming you sneezed after you sideswipe a couple of dozen cars parked along a road.

So if someone is impaired and they almost hit someone, even say a cop, we should just blow it off because there wasn't intent. I would assume the same goes if they actually hit the person, the person should apologize because he should have known where the car was going and stayed out of the way.

If you sneeze and sideswipe a couple dozen cars, you are guilty of sideswiping a couple of dozen cars, despite your intent.

By the way God did not make her drink, drive, speed, etc. she did that of her own free will.
