Also, what would he have done if he had returned two days later and found the window had been shut? What of the Ramseys' home intrusion alarm? Even if they forgot to set it on Christmas (as the Ramseys have said), would they have forgotten to set it three nights in a row?

(I wish a political party would come along that thinks like I do.)

You know I come from a wealthy family and my parents house they were living in back in 1993-1998 they had a nice alarm system, but they got so used to it being a safe area they never turned the alarm on. Than before you know it, 2 streets over a boy killed both his mom and dad. By than my parents were moving to the country, but if they had stayed I'm sure they were going to use their alarm every night.

Many folks around here never set theirs unless they are out of town for a few days.
As for the door being unlocked...Used to put a piece of tape over our lock so we could get back in.....(It locked when we didn't want it to)....Easy and not noticeable. He could have done that when he 'attended' the party Was the party catered? Were there any deliveries made for the party...Don't imagine he actually attended the party. FLowers? Pick them up himself and then "deliver" them to get into the house.

The window pane was already broken, he didn't have to loosen a latch - in advance, or ever.
