He knows it exists now, but wasn't involved in the latest testing and results. He was on the case in 1999, which is what people were asking him about - his involvement.

The DNA "X" was a secret and a bombshell when the deposition was released that revealed it.

I've said this before. I don't care for Lee. He got to be notorious via the OJ case. I think he has a "prejudiced" mind that seeks to make himself right.

Perhaps he has been excluded from future testing along with his exhorbitant(sp?) fees.
