The MSM reported (yea, I know) that Nate said that for John NOT to have been with his family would have been a "family scandal". Does that sound right from your perspective?

I don't know about the relationship he had with his father as my side was divorced from them a long time ago. If anything, I would think it would have been talked about because he was so protecting and overbearing of his wives (obviously as reported by his wives). Most of my contact came through funerals or other family functions later in life and since airfare would have been involved, it was usually him by himself. But I can see it being a big deal for John to be absent from his kids. At some point he loved them tremendously. When the mental illnes started taking over, I think he removed himself from them and the love for them. Just my layman observation mind you.

At anyrate, I don't see why everyone is focusing on Christmas morning. What about afternoon and evening. That is when most families disperse. Who's to say Lara's parents didn't like John that much, but she wanted to let the kids go see their other Grandma and Grandpa and she took them alone. I just don't know.

Family Scandel? Why? If the guy wasn't working steady and had an opportunity to deliver a car in Colorado (from the "great" thoughts of Hoosiermama), put some under the table cash in his pocket and drive a two year old sportscar back to Alabama (or Georgia), it certainly wouldn't be a scandel. In fact, it might just be an "ordinary event" that nobody would really notice.

John Karr's life doesn't seem to have been under the watchful eye of anyone. It was toooo irregular. Lot's see his 1040's.
