Right. There is a lot at stake here, not just for JMK.

If that's true he had 5 hours alone in that house...plenty of time to snoop around.

The Shawcross Case was in our jusridiction. It was a gross case with multiple murders of mostly local prostitutes. Once they picked him up, he became the fat lady herself.

nancy is talking about it again...

he was gazing out the window in a room full of people and he says... Everybody says I could not know my way around the house but I got in at around 5pm and stayed there all night and the ramsey's did not get back in until 10pm.

He said this in front of US Law Enforcement.

(again they did not say were this happened)

>>>I just saw Carol McKinley reporting from Boulder on FNC, and she reported about the attempt to set the 2-yr old John on fire (at which time the mom was institutionalized, she said).>>>

She wasn't institutionalized until he was about six-eight, memory of family is fuzzy. He has stated this (mom set on fire thing) before at family gatherings (pre-2001) and has been rebuked on this, even by his brother. Remember, this is a sick man and yet they are going to take the ramblings of him seriously? The 'so called family friend' that is reporting this would NOT report this crap if he really were a FRIEND to Wex Karr because of the obvious hurt it would cause John's brother. So I am skeptical about it. Why would he come forward when Wex refuses to speak to the media?

>>>Now isn't that impossible, if it's true that she treated him more like a girl than a boy when he was growing up...when would that have been??>>>

Hey, who needs common sense when you have ratings to push?

>>>Also, Carol said the mom passed away 6 yrs. ago. If you are correct it was in the early 80's, this is crazy that the media could be so far off on such info.>>>

They are incorrect. She died in 1980. I read the original report on ABCnews.com and the reporter stated that he had the information by an obituary from Pennsylvania. Noone has ever mentioned that state in any of this, but he chose to believe that a woman who was divorced from the man named Karr, would still have that name. AND assume that this just HAD to be her?? In Pennsylvania, with noone thus far connected to Pa. Sloppy Sloppy. One reporter said something that was NOT verified as fact and the others are tauting as such with him as the 'source'. And people wonder why we are skeptical of the whole Cheney/Plume affair.

I heard the same thing on Paula Zahn. See my post #860 that I already pinged you to, stlnative, and now I'm pinging you to it, mystery. I don't know who he said it to but he was reported by CNN to be talking openly about his activities. It includes CNN claiming the Ramseys did have a Christmas party in '96 on Dec. 23, and that Karr claims he was there.

It would have to have reasonable cause.

It's probable cause, and probable cause is quite easy to demonstrate. In this case, Karr has made statements that constitute probable cause. All the phony experts yammering away on TV and radio keep making it seem like probable cause must be strong evidence of guilt. No way. Probable cause has a very weak threshhold, and the vast majority of judges pretty much rubber stamp whatever the cops or DA gives them when seeking a warrant on probable cause.

were = where (I am taking it that this happened in LA) - the reporters says the guy suffers from loose lips.

Again they did a clip of his lawyer saying that he is not sick, confused, or mentally ill as the media is making him out to be and that he cannot wait for this to go to court so that the public can understand him.

Karr made sure he got "it was an accudent" in his brief answer. When someone said 1st degree murder, he quickly responded, "No, it's second degree murder".

Yet, to everything else, he responded "no comment".

Love for Jonbenet? No, hate for John Ramsey and everything he represents...power, wealth, family. What better way to kill "John" than to kill his child.

If this is true it would sure explain a lot of things....finding a stub for $118,000 writing the ransom note etc....this is unbelieveable.....

Yep, that was the sense I got. "... so people can understand him". I think that is what he is seeking. For whatever reason. He wants a trial.

Great, so convict Karr on the basis of what some other whackjob did.

But not of deliberate murder...remember he was emphatic that it was an accident. But looks like he wants to hold forth on his POV.

Has Karr actually retained Harmon as his lawyer? The last I heard they had contacted him and he was interested in perhaps having them represent him (Harmon and Van Zandt) but that he hadn't retained them yet.

That is kinda why I was thinking that this whole "it was an accident" thing is really important to him; for some odd reason. I don't know how you break into a house, sexually assault a defenseless 6 year old child, bash their head in with so much force it's hard to imagine, then choke them to death and call that death an accident. Buuuttt, it's important to him that that notion be conveyed and "understood".

stlnative posted a link earlier to a timeline:

http://www.acandyrose.com/timeline-transcripts1996.htm

It shows that the Ramseys indeed threw a Christmas party on December 23rd, one in which Bill McReynolds played Santa. McReynolds was also being featured by the Daily Camera and Charles Kuralt at the time because of his Santaesque appearance.

The guest list for the party was made available. Somehow I doubt Karr was on it yet I am curious if there were uninvited guests due to the media tagging along with McReynolds, people the Ramseys might not have recognized but presumed they were members of the media.

All that, of course, is public record so it would be easy for Karr to claim this after the fact with just a little online research. There's going to need to be forensic evidence to back up his claim.

Now IF Karr attended the party and then came back to murder JBR two nights later, that would mean he had to stay somewhere else for a couple of days in the interim. Where?

He's last KNOWN to be elsewhere on Decenber 19th, his last day teaching in Alabama. So, how did he get to Boulder? How could he be gone for several days, including Christmas, without his wife being aware of it? How did he know there would be a party that night? How did he get there? Where did he go when he was not at the Ramseys? When did he leave Boulder? How long did it take him to return to Alabama?

Keep in mind that, on the night of the murder, it was NINE degrees outside so let's not guess he was sleeping on park benches. He had to be somewhere for this story to be true.
