For your bookmarking assistance, this is a reference list of links to the Aug 2006 or newer Free Republic threads on the topic of the JonBenet Ramsey murder case and the possible arrest of John Mark Karr as a suspect in her murder.
In this case, they know some of the players and in particular, the parents. Their work is an opinion and nothing more. It plays to reasonable doubt just as a phychiatrist plays in an insanity case.
OPINION IS NOT FACT. FACTS CONVICT. Opinions create reasonable doubt.

I wonder what he said. The exact amount and where it was located was published by crime magazine years ago.
Tracey and Wood (Ramsey lawyer) were both on LK. Obviously something was said or contained in one of the May e-mails that made Lacey think she had the perp. That's when they went into high gear to not just keep in contact, but locate Daxis (Note the similarities to Davis---the murderer of Polly.)
They were going to set up a meetimg with Patsy and him, but she took a turn for the worse and it was never accomplished.
Several times the timeline for the night of 12/25/96 was changed a little, so I don't know what the final determination was for the "exact" time they got home from the Whites.
It was usually said to be 8:30-9:00 PM. They said they took JonBenet upstairs in a deep sleep and that she didn't wake up when John took her coat off or pulled her shoes and socks off while she was on the bed.
Then Patsy took off JonBenet's black velvet pants and put some thermal longjohn bottoms on her before tucking her in.
Burke wasn't ready to go to sleep yet and he talked John into helping him put together one of his Christmas presents, a model garage kit to go with some little cars like Hot Wheels or Matchbox or to go with his model railroad - I never was sure which it was.
Patsy got presents ready to take to the older kids of the family when they went to Charlevoix early the next morning. She also had to pack a suitcase for their Big Red Boat trip in FL, which they were flying to after Charlevoix. As soon as they got back from all that, JonBenet had a pageant to be in there in CO in Denver, I believe, but could be wrong about that.
It was the Hawaiian Tropic little miss something contest and Patsy had gone into John Andrew's bedroom where she was packing the suitcases - and she laid out the pageant clothes so that would be done when they got back. John later said he remembered a yellow bathing suit JonBenet was going to wear.
It must have been John who estimated the 10:00PM bedtime for Patsy and later for himself. He said he took a melatonin and did a little reading in bed before falling asleep and that PR was already in bed then.
Maybe we are all wrong and this is the guy.
There wasn't a check stub that said $118,000.00, so that's out.
Have no idea what the details of the basement room might be, but I bet I can guess. See if it has something to do with cigars. If that's not it, I could probably guess a few more.
"this is the guy". Who "this" is the guy?????
Until we hear differently, that was said to be when he got the pic of JMK as a child with a white Santa bear like the one on JonBenet's bed. That was a red herring.
Maybe that is the thing - there was a check stub and LE knows this but never verified there was a stub as it may have been under some papers on his desk and the perp was digging through paper work and reburied back in the pile of papers.
According to the source, Karr wrote about a check stub on John Ramsey's desk in the amount of $118,000, specifics about a staircase in the Ramseys home and details about the basement where JonBenet was killed.

(this one is dated from the 18th)
Pictures: Now show me 1993, 1994, 1995, ....1997, 1998 and 1999. Is John in any of those?? Are they dated because very few cameras had dates at that time.
Karr claimed to that Wendy Hutchens or Hutchings, the Polly Klaas case follower, that he was at a party at the Ramseys' house just before the murder.
This party would have been on 12/23/06 - which was just a little Christmas party that Patsy had to throw together on the spur of the moment because Santa Bill, their regular Santa Claus, Bill McReynolds, was being shadowed by Charles Kuralt's TV crew for a special on Santas.
As it turned out, they had gotten all the footage they needed before they were able to go to the Ramseys' house.
Patsy got Santa Bill's son to bring them some undecorated gingerbread houses from the Safeway bakery where he worked, for the kids to decorate for the TV cameras and for fun.
The party was very small, only close friends and their family members - the Whites, Fleet III and Daphne; Susan and Glen Stine, her mother (maybe both parents, can't remember) and their son; the Fernies and their children. It was maybe a dozen children and a few more adults than that, with several being the older parents of the Ramseys' lower-middle-aged friends.
John M Karr told "Wendy" that he went to that party because his brother worked for John Ramsey. I'm going to say that's a bald-faced lie, since both brothers, who live and work in Atlanta are either in real estate or home remodeling, and John's business was the sale of computer workstations to large companies.
Neither John M Karr nor his brothers were in this small inner circle of Ramsey friends in Boulder at this party.
Karr then claimed to Wendy that when he was at this party at their house, two days before JonBenet was murdered, that he sat and talked with her on the step to the butler pantry and they ate pineapple. The detail of JonBenet having a conversation with one of her mother's friends, on that stoop, was widely publicized in the JBR forums, so that's where he got that - and we know where the idea of eating pineapple came from (the autopsy).
Then he told Wendy that he went down to the basement and unlatched the train room window so he could get in when he came back to kidnap JonBenet on Christmas night. There was no need to unlatch the window, it had a broken window pane that had not been fixed since John Ramsey broke it himself a few months before that.
We've learned since then that John Ramsey used the window on more than one occasion - so that is probably why it hadn't been fixed - tho the Ramseys tried to tell LE that it was a new break that night.
I didn't say there wasn't a check stub. I said there wasn't one that said $118,000.00 on it.
Don't know what the specifics of the staircase might be, so I can't comment. It was winding, it had fake Christmas greenery wrapped around the hand railing, it was the back way from the upper floor where the master bedroom was, it was where Patsy claimed to have found the ransom note a few steps up from the bottom.
There are other things that have been common knowledge among case followers for all these many years, so I can't conjure up which of many he might have told Tracey about. Most of it has even been on TV.
where are you getting the wendy/karr details from?
I saw her on Inside Edition tonight. Very compelling.
I still believe "Daxis" is Karr's homage to Richard Allen Davis, the killer of Polly Klaas. The "x" indicates death or elimination. Davis is a pedophile and a killer - two things that Karr seems to admire. He doesn't want to sign the e-mail as "Davis" because that would lead to many possible misunderstandings but "Daxis" (in my conjecture) means he is in kinship with Davis, the pedophile/killer. I think he sees Davis as his role model of sorts.
I have no idea what S.B.T.C. means although I've heard the theories. None of them ring true to me at this time.
I think Karr was at the employee Christmas Party at the Hotel Boulderado on December 20th. And they had a Dixieland Band!!!!
I'm sure this event is a good deal of background for the note and the article in the Daily Camera the next day drove him.
Summary: He talked to Jonbenet at a Christmas Party (true)...at the Ramsey House (false).
