For your bookmarking assistance, this is a reference list of links to the Aug 2006 or newer Free Republic threads on the topic of the JonBenet Ramsey murder case and the possible arrest of John Mark Karr as a suspect in her murder.
1. The bowl was out on a counter, not in fridge
2. Not aware of your reference, will have to back and see it
3. Re-placing marks of the adhesive would've been detected - no way a 2nd piece of tape would go down in the same exact place and be exactly the same length, but if it were, there would be a double depth of the adhesive in places
4. Then do you tell people your shower was broken, if they know it's the same outfit?
any idea what the house was worth back then?
In fact, I seem to recall that the first new owner was able to obtain a change in the number's portion of the address, but that it is now listed under the original address on (I think) 15th Street.
It's posted here somewhere --- might have been 1.3 million. Now listed at a higher price.
The last owners that I knew about (altho I haven't kept up in several years) were a young couple, the wife of which had a well known evangelist or pastor for her father.
Let me see if I can find it ... oh, yes! It was Robert Schuller's daughter - the Crystal Cathedral minister in CA.
Hmmm ... recent blurb, from last week:
" ... The house is empty. The last person to occupy the house was accountant Mathew Schuldt, who vacated in June.
"I was sort of house-sitting and looking after the three dogs of the present owners, Timothy and Carol Milner," Schuldt said.
"The Milners, I believe, put the house on the market last August, but Mrs. Milner wanted to move back to California because she works for her father - the Rev. Robert Schuller."
The Rev. Schuller is a high-profile television evangelist of the Crystal Church - funny how the house where so much evil occurred is now in the hands of a such a God-fearing family.
"I didn't really feel weird in the house," Schuldt said. "I was there for about a year. The cars would drive by and stop, some would want to come in, but, of course, I could not permit that." ..."
If he was there on 12/25/96, I think he was there at least several days prior and not with his family. I do think Christmas Night is an odd time to choose for such what happened. One might expect tons of people around, etc. But, this guy is a clever one, apparently.
Third one down - 749 - 15th Street:

Note that when JonBenet was killed, the home's address was 755 - 15th Street. It was changed by the city ... for obvious reasons.
I cannot understand anyone wanting that house - not due to someone killing her in it but that pictures and the layout diagrams of the home is plastered all over the place.
You got it - #1, Bobby Franks. Leopold and Loeb planned some of that murder at the country home of one of their families in Charlevoix, MI, not far at all from the Ramseys' house there.
They've changed the outside some - high wrought-iron fencing, for one. They bricked up the wine cellar long ago and have probably changed around some of the other rooms.
Yes
it almost looks like a different home
Oh, I have a wonderful book I bought several years ago, which details several kidnappings including Leopold and Loeb = Bobby Franks.
Okay, just found another source, and the other two men living with Jesse Timmendequas, Megan's murderer, were also convicted sex offenders. Geez!...three of them livin across the street!
If you pull up the ransom note you can easily find the things that I put ** around.
It does in that photo, but then experience tells me that real estate photos can be very deceiving. Would anyone be able to live there and not always think of that poor little girl? I know I wouldn't be able to.
OMG! That's absolutely awful. Unconscionable. These men cannot be cured. They must be locked up for life or excuted when their victims are murdered.
