Yes, but I am the kind of man who goes wherever the facts and the evidence takes me. IMO, an intruder would never have written such a long "ransom note" and would not have known about the $118K bonus that the father received. According to this article (which I can probably find again if you're really interested), the FBI profilers concluded that one of the parents probably knows who killed her. The FBI profilers shot down the intruder theory very quickly because the crime doesn't fit the behavior of an unknown intruder in several different ways.

Yes, I am a conservative but I'm a very open-minded guy with a background in logic and information analysis, and I also know what kind of nasty stuff happens sometimes in the world. It's not that these crimes are that common, it's just that with modern communications technology, we now hear about all the lurid crime going on around the world. The same crimes happened 100 years ago, but people didn't hear much about them back then.

Intruder? This was a deranged killer who doesnt think normally. The ransom note was meant to be a rabbit trail, and it worked. He was obviously around the Ramseys when probably Patsy mentioned the money in passing to a friend or over the phone. He could have been moonlighting as part of a painting crew and worked in the Ramseys house, teachers dont get paid much and Boulder is very expensive. " ... Pure nonsense. John Douglas himself interviewed John Ramsey within weeks of the murder and announced that he was certain that John Ramsey had nothing to do with his daughters murder. He never even considered Patsy because after looking at the evidence he knew that this was a sexual homicide.
