Little 6 year old JonBenet was certainly not entering herSELF in these pageants, buying herSELF $10,000 dresses, and buying herSELF plane tickets to fly around the country flaunting herSELF in front of thousands of strangers. Her parents (probably mainly her mother) were responsible for all this, and risked her safety by doing it. Quite likely, this imprudent activity led to the poor child's death. For all I know, the parents tortured themselves with remorse for all this stuff afterwards, but other parents would do well to learn the lesson by acknowledging the cause-and-effect pattern.
