I've probably expressed the same thing--that our guys are tougher than theirs.

The difference is that our guys are not going in to annihilate civilians. They're going in to kill the thugs who DO kill civilians indiscriminately. As for the first responders; they may risk their own lives, but they're not doing what they do to KILL people like the suicide bombers. There is NO comparison between the groups.

You're taking the comparison far beyond the point Williams was making. It pains me to defend such a liberal jackoff, but look at the direct quote--he was only making the comparison to the level of dedication to the cause. Period, end of statement. Do people need your point about saving people vs. blowing people up made for them every single time the point is made? No. We don't need to be hand-fed. In the quote, he was comparing ONE thing to ONE thing--and that's all.

I think Williams didn't mean to say it the way it came out...I'm not some big media fan but I also don't go around hating them just to hate like some on FR do....(not you per se)....and it doesn't take much to see he was trying to in fact be complimentary but it came out wrong.....damn, I think Bush has put his foot in his mouth many more times then I can count.....a blunder...nothing more....
