JLS, you are correct. Besides, how does the things his parents have done in the past in New Jersey have any bearing on what happened that night in Durham? It can't and doesn't. The most important thing is what Collin was doing that night. If his actions were witnessed and documented to the point that he could not have been at the house that night, why would he want to give it to a DA that doesn't want to hear it. He absolutely doesn't. Keep it close to the vest until this thing gets to the courtroom or is dismissed.
I don't know. I really think we need to get someone Nationally - a prominent media person - to take up the case.
I don't think anyone is going to get the attention of anyone prominent in NC.
At the point, then National Media has walked away from this thing. There was no reporting on Kim Roberts, no reporting on the Durham Investigators alleged involved in an assault / racial intimidation. This thing is dead to them.
I got an e-mail in response to a letter I'd written a TV network, and they told me they were involved full time with Israel-Hezbolla war. That was a day before the Mel Gibson thing and they covered that all the time. It only took an actor to get a DWI to wipe the Israel thing right off the news!
Limbaugh reaches a lot of people, he could've been vital in getting the news out on all the injustices in this case, but he made some comment initially - and I don't think he's said
20 words on the whole thing since then.
Abrams show was taken down - that was the only National source for a time there.
I say we keep posting and writing letters in the hope that some enterprising reporter or Producer reads a letter or post and it piques his/her interest.
The ABN is certainly worth it. It would be nice for the Durham voters to read about the abuses by Nifong or see them on TV once in a while - that would go a long way to helping ABN, IMO.

Seligmann's disclosure forces Nifong to move up the timeline which places it in conflict with prior statements by Roberts and Bissey.
I suspect that Finnerty's alibi will even further narrow that window. It might even trap Nifong without any time for this hoax to have occurred.
Just a head's up :
Keep watching the Fresno rape case for when the DNA
results come in (it's been two weeks already), and whether
these are used to clear any of the accused.
If so, that fact must be trumpted around the NET, because the MSM will continue to bury the story.
The Finnertys are from New York but I agree that the alibi should not be disclosed.
My problem in this whole discussion is that a writer made statements about the Finnertys making charitable contributions and people are attributing those remarks to his family - that his family is saying that is his defense - he's not guilty by reason of charity.
I don't see where his family has been quoted as saying anything about making contributions to charity. His parents comments were that he has a very good alibi, he passed a polygraph and having seen the prosecution's case there is no credible evidence against him.
WHAT FRESNO RAPE CASE?
You must be news hound to have found that case!
"WHAT FRESNO RAPE CASE? "
The one that was on the cover of Newsweek, along with all the articles about hubris, pride, arrogance, swagger, and what's wrong with football and other helmeted sports.
How did you miss it??
Whether it's what we're discussing or not, I agree with you. There's no way I'd reveal that alibi. Early on one of Finnerty's lawyers (Cotter) said basically that they were playing to win in court. They weren't going to reveal any evidence in public because they fully expected the case to go to trial and that's when the evidence would come out. At the time I wondered about that because Seligmann's lawyers had his alibi front and center but I think it turned out to be a smart move.
I also agree that Finnerty is in the most jeopardy. All the guys have been stereotyped as rich, preppy white boys but I think Finnerty has taken the most heat. It's the wolves in blazers and khakis thing. I'm sure this will be Nifong's line of attack. I worry that a Durham jury won't like him. They'll look at him and see a wealthy, smart, athletic kid from NY who has everything and they'll resent him. He has all the evidence on his side but I worry that the evidence won't matter.
Actually the most appalling statement was the young kid from NCCU who felt that even if they're not guilty they should pay because of all the past treatment of blacks by whites.
BTW the media is now talking about how Mel Gibson might go to jail for DUI. In Durham it's only a misdemeanor for some people. Stealing a car, trying to drive over a policeman. All misdemeanors. He should have had his incident in Durham.
The one in the most trouble is DE, imo, as his DNA was found and he was there. Just the same, his lack of a mustache surely puts her 90% surety into question (WTF does 90% sure mean???).
At some point, common sense has to take over here. We're at the point of trying to dream up how a rape could have happened rather than determining who committed a rape. I just am astounded it's gotten this far.
I can't believe this case is going forward either. It's unbelievable.
If it goes to trial and a jury decides the case on the evidence they'll all be acquitted. I just worry that other factors will come into play besides the evidence. That's where things have the potential to turn ito a mess.
Exotic dancers don't get any respect, say some sociologists, who aim to dress up their image.
How many "strippers" (aka exotic dancers) have drivers who take them for "one on ones"? CGM was far more than a dancer.
I hope they get out of Durham too. I don't know where they'd wind up but Durham seems like a nightmare for the defense.
As tragic as this case is for the accused, even to the extent of having their pics on the cover of Newsweek, the publicity of it all may help in the end. When the case goes to trial, the lack of evidence and Nifong's folly will be self evident and the country, not just Durham, will be watching.
I'm not familiar with the Court TV boards but is it usual to lock them for days? I've only started reading them with this case.
But the idiots in the media say because a "match" was found somwhere in the house that means that it pro-prosecution evidence. It drives me crazy. Its like saying we found one of the accused fingerpritns away from the crime scene and could not find any of the other two anywehre, but because we "matched" a fingerprint we can go forward. It is truly looney.
In most of the "public" cases, people hold opinions based upon some presumed theory as to how things ocurred, such as he strangled her and left marks, or, he was seen in the area or something. Here, nobody makes the slightest effort to try and connnect anything together because they can't. That is why we are left with people saying, well, let the system work (even though it is broken). I have tried to come up with a theory, even off the wall, as to how you could have an extended assualt, at least prior to 12:25 but after 12:00 that nobody saw and left no traces on anybody. YOu would of course have to make all types of crazy assumptions, all the photos are altered, all the phone calls mean nothing or were made by other people, and all the witnesses are lying except for the fa, and the medical exam means something, but you still can't explain why a violent assault left no dna anywhere anyhow.
Exactly! Normally there is a crime and we're trying to prove who committed it. Here we have alleged criminals and we're left trying to determine if it's even possible they had the time to commit the "crime". It's A**-Backwards. There's no evidence a crime even took place and Nifong is trying to pretend one did.
