Panelist Webster Tarpley makes the claim in his book, 9/11 Synthetic Terror, that 9/11 was a coup d'etat by a financier elite to force George W. Bush into a "war of civilizations."
The panel agreed that this invisible government war party goes back perhaps to the 1846 Mexican war, certainly to the USS Maine and the Spanish American War of 1898, and has arranged more and more frequent "false-flag" provocations since the Gulf of Tonkin and the Israel/Palestine crisis.
They also accused this "string-pulling elite" of using terror to restrict traditional constitutional freedoms.

I have a friend who is a structural engineer who has also analysed the WTC collapse and confirms Prof. Jones work. Moreover, there are other qualified people who have as well, including his peers. I've worked closely with structural engineers in my business and know that the profession is based on physics -- material strength and stress analysis. I have a smattering of stuctural knowlegde myself, having learned it from them.
Guy, I've known you, what, about 7 years or so? You've been a party hack here from the getgo. I put country over party, and the Neo-Cons are selling us down the river on a Wilsonian white-man's-burden fantasy that is nothing more than empire in a neo-cloak called "democracy." The founders specifically rejected democracy in favor of a layered democratic republic for just this reason -- they wanted to prevent a small cabal from seizing power and launching the ages old quest for empire with our sons as fodder. I've got two family members serving, both officers, both over there. I'm not just parading my ego, like you are.

It was conceived by the Council on Foreign Relations...and a contract was signed by President Bush, Vincente Fox, and the PM of Canada...at Bush's ranch a couple of years ago...
