You obviously know "Dago" somehow became an ethnic slur, even though its origins are as innocuous (even moreso) than "Wop". The word is simply a contraction of "Day Laborer", much like you see today during mornings at any Home Depot.

When did Being Offended become the second-highest component of GDP?

JJ, you don´t mind us if we call you "Island-ape", since that´s the usual term when we refer to British soccer fans?! No joke, we have no more polite name for you guys when it comes down to soccer.

Sincerely,

Kraut and Frog ;-)

Ukraine are a good side and they've done well to get this far after the terrible result against Spain.

Absolutely right for Klinsman to dispel any talk of a job while he's in the middle of the World Cup. That's the media for you.

A great save, defender desperation block and crossbar is nothing to sneeze at but time is now against Cinderella.

Call me what you like, sausage muncher. I will look forward to seeing you in the final. Italy have now gone 3-0 in front. The Aussies they cheated in the last round must feel sick.

Who woulda thunk the two toughest matches for the Azurri have been the USA and Australia?

Now Italy's job, no silly yellow cards for the rest of the match.

Like Ghana, some bad luck taking the game the other way. That save by Dida was amazing in how he managed to get a leg on the ball just by sheer luck. He was actually lifting his leg and the ball hit him anyway.

Let's see what Italy - Germany looks like.

They probably assumed they would beat Australia and USA without needing to pay off the players.

Italy has more discipline than to take cards late in the match.

Some media are now reporting that Borowski "started it", by gesturing to the Argentinian to be quiet after Germany Lehman made the winning save.

Still, if that is true it is no excuse for the Argies to go berserk.

Yes, Shevchenko just missed a header over the bar. Italy needs to quit.

As I said, there were two Kraut ringleaders. If they try to silence England in the final, we will ram their stolen deckchairs where the son doesn't shine.

Yeah, a final Germany-England would be the finest of all possible. Revenge for 1966 - this time on our soil!! We wanna put the 4th star on our jerseys!
