Home...got plates. I did guestimate the milage wrong, so I suppose I'm kinda sorta still illegal...but in a more subtle way.
All right if I stop by for soup? ;-)
Yah, sure, you betcha.
Be right over...
We'll I'm back. And we've got Comcast back. Hear now the newz...
I had an all day meeting today in cHARLOTtesville. So there's that.
Wife stayed home to work and to wait for Comcast technician to arrive.
The following took place between the minutes of 11:30 and 11:35 a.m....
- Wife gets yet another email from her boss (they'd been coming all morning)
- Nana begins to throw up again
- Wife goes ahead and calls the doctor
- Comcast lady arrives
- Dog commences to defend the premises
- Nana ~calls~ wife to say "I'm sick"
I'm not making this up. It all happened at once.
The resultz...
Wife took Nana to the doctor. Turns out that apparently what had been making her sick was the gout medicine the ER doctor told her to start taking again. Regular doctor said that was way more than the normal dosage. So we've taken her off that. 'Course she had one of 'em with her tonite and took it anyway.
Comcast lady got the Internet service to come back into the house. She also hooked up the router. Both the pc and the laptop ~said~ they were getting signals. But the Internet wouldn't connect. She kept thinking I had something blocking it. So I'm on the phone with her from cHARLOTtesville telling the ~expert~ things to try.
None of them worked.
When I got home tonight, I unplugged the modem and powered down both the PC and the laptop.
Both are working just fine.
And the dog? How's he? :~D
Good evening Corin :~)
I unplugged the modem and powered down both the PC and the laptop.
Both are working just fine.
With the power off? Wow...
Good grief. Um, no offense, but considering your luck maybe I shouldn't have invited you to the wedding.
Just kidding - I'll take my chances. I can use all the friends I've got :-)
Jack's a tough cookie, no doubt about it.
Oh dear...
Well, welcome back to the internet! And I do hope Nana's finally going to be able to feel better.
He still smells. Did I tell that story already?
Don't mess with me man. I'm a dwarf on the edge.
It's always something with you, Corin. ;o)
I've got a co-worker who's been having much the same run of luck.
We've decided to blame it on Rasputin.
Sounds like he's deserving of the blame. ;o)
I hope they get Nana's meds straightened out. The folks at the ER gave Mama Valium once, unbeknownst to my just older and younger sisters, because one of my brothers had taken her there during his weekend with her. Unfortunately, Valium worked like uppers on Mama, and I was the one who was with her that following week. It was an interesting time, I can tell you!
What grade is Luke in this year?
What I didn't realize until tonight was what she took ~before~ I took her to the ER.
Between 2:00 and 8:00 that morning she took 8 (yes EIGHT) Vicodin.
We've hidden her meds.
g'nite folks
