A little older than the girl....something about the investigation and confusion about where the boy was, what the parents would say about him....just a number of things that led me to believe something wasn't right about the investigation of the son....more than one person was protecting him from scrutiny...

It's a sound theory - sibling rivalry. Just don't know if he was strong enough to tie her up like that or would know to do it. As an adult, I didn't know about that method till the little girls murder.
