According to Fox News, Patsy Ramsey, mother of Jonbenet Ramsey has passed away from ovarian cancer.
This would make them complicit, wouldn't it?
In any case, Roy Romer (former chair of the DNC) was governor of Colorado and the Ramseys were big donors. I think Romer squashed the investigation and I believe Romer left the DNC chairmanship for reasons related to the case. How nice. (I recall hearing Romer is superintendent of Los Angeles County schools...)
There is one hell of a lot more to this picture than just a simple murder.
Lauren was Miss Minnesota - I don't think (and I'm pretty sure) that she wasn't Miss America...don't know about Miss USA...

Fox News just ran an interview about the Ramsey case and brought up something I had completely forgotten about.
DNA was found in JonBenets underwear that did not match anyone in the home, not the brother, father or Patsy Ramsey. This DNA profile is still being run through CODIS but no matches have come up.
I kept thinking I remembered something about DNA being found in JonBenets underwear but didn't remember the specifics. I hope others in here were listening to this brief interview just aired on Fox.
Very interesting. I did not know about the suicide-R. I guess no one @ Boulder PD ever tried a DNA match? I do believe if the Ramseys' did not have money - they would have been railroaded and Patsy would have died in prison. Woe be to an innocent average John and Jane Doe in similar circumstances.
The child he killed was "inside the house" too--it didn't occur to you that if he could snatch the little girl, he could grab a tablet, too?
And who else wrote the "ransom" note? "Kidnappers" who kill their victim without actually kidnapping her and leave her body in the basement after taking the time to write a many page letter in hand writing that resembles the mother are dumb as rocks and would not be expected to evade police detection unless of course, the police show up and do not treat the house as a crime scene or the occupants as suspects.
NO! This was a str8 up sexual homicide and the cops BLEW IT big time. You need to read the autopsy report. Semen that did not match the father or the brother was found in her underwear. She died from being garroted with a garot made from paint brushes and rope there in the basement. The fracture to her skull was done post mortem, probably with a pry bar the killer used to pry open the basement window. HE wrote the ransom note because the tablet was there and he was trying to buy time with it. Didnt work. HE was a worker who had been in the house as part of a paint crew in the recent past, that's how he knew about the brushes and the hidden wash up room in the basement. HE probably overheard Patsy talking on the phone one day about her husbands bonus, happens all the time, and that's how the 118k got in the ransom note, again a ploy to throw the cops off, it worked. This was a brutal, sadistic homicide. Patsy did not kill her because she wet the bed. That is ridiculous! This was an extremely sick person who has a lengthy criminal and mental history. It was not any of the Ramseys. Try reading John Douglas' books.
Wasn't the ransom amount requested $118,000 the same amount that John Ramsey received as a bonus? Coincidence?? Also, there was no fingerprints on the note (I think). How do you grab a ransom note without leaving fingerprints?

Patsy Ramsey, whose 6-year-old daughter JonBenet's 1996 slaying has never been solved, died Saturday of cancer, her lawyer said. She was 49.
Ramsey was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1993 and suffered a recurrence several years ago, attorney L. Lin Wood said. She died at her father's home in suburban Atlanta with her husband, John, at her bedside.
"It is not unexpected but it is a sad day," Wood told The Associated Press.
JonBenet, who competed in beauty pageants, was found beaten and strangled in her parents' Boulder, Colo. basement on Dec. 26, 1996. A grand jury investigation ended with no indictments, and no arrests have been made.
JonBenet's death became fodder for tabloids and the subject of books.
The Ramseys said an intruder killed their daughter but a cloud of suspicion hung over the couple. The district attorney and a federal judge in Colorado have said it is likelier that an intruder was responsible.
"Hopefully her legacy will not be tied to the false accusation related to the brutal murder of her daughter," Wood said Saturday.
Patsy Ramsey said she found a ransom note on the back staircase of the family's home demanding $118,000 for the safe return of JonBenet. John Ramsey said he found his daughter's body in a basement room eight hours later.
An autopsy concluded JonBenet suffered a skull fracture, and was strangled and beaten.
The couple left Colorado after JonBenet's death and wrote a book, "The Death of Innocence," which was published in 2000.
They had residences in Atlanta and in Michigan, where John Ramsey made an unsuccessful bid for the Michigan House in 2004.
He finished second among six candidates vying for the Republican nomination. The Ramseys discussed their daughter's death during the campaign.
"We can't just hold our breath and hope the killer will be found and then go on with our lives," Patsy Ramsey said in 2004. "We have to move ahead now. We can't let evil win."
Patsy Ramsey is survived by her husband and their 19-year-old son, Burke.

I have no idea if any members of JonBenet's family were guilty in connection with her death, but there is an interesting Biblical parallel for the plight of a mother after one son has killed another one of her children in 2 Samuel 14.5-7. (That case is clearly signalled as a made-up story designed to elicit the desired reaction from King David.)

Thank you for posting facts instead of media hype and someone's "feelings" Also all the wild opinions about kids who love dressing up and being in pageants is just crazy.
Jon Benet spent far more time riding her bicycle than being in pageants. The media took a fun home video and made something bad out of it. My own grand daughter made college money being in pageants and was captain of the all-state volleyball team at the same time. She now has a husband , a child, and a great job. I hardly think she was corrupted by pageants that she loved.
Three months before Jon Benet was killed, her grandmother and I shared pictures of our grandchildren. She loved Jon Benet so much as did all of her family

Thought she was a LOT older than 49.
