I still can't stand Meadow's voice. You're surprised that she wasn't more unhappy with Nifong, while I'm surprised that Nifong even released the email exchanges. Despite Nifong's statement to the contrary, Meadows did quite accurately characterize Nifong's email as angry. How could anyone read that and not recognize his anger?

If this is an example of how Nifong interprets facts, then maybe he does believe that Precious was raped. Other people have called him delusional, egotistical, whatever... I'm not trained in psychology, so I'm not gonna this guy. But I am very glad he's not the chief prosecutor where I live.

And yeah, I saw Sheehan make the 180 too. A little whiney, doncha think?

There is a lot of outside pressure from all corners to end this. This case is shaking public confidence in the entire judicial system. Almost everyone except the loopiest of the far left wants to end this now.

There is a reason that Nifong and the fems are posturing to make their most insistent arguments now...

For Nifong the BEST THING would be for Stevens to throw it out as soon as possible. Then Nifong could keep babbling the lie that he had a case - but was "pushed aside by political pressure created by the evil blogs..." and the rest of the fems could turn this Deming loss caused by the dismissal into an endless complaint of "proof of bias AGAINST women in the courts".

I saw what you described tonight. Susan Filan whom hated these kids for how long, said tonight that she is scared after seeing the evidence. She said she's is scared for the country. She said that of Nifong, "Boy, did he mislead us."

So lawyers are upset across the country.

Possibly, corruption and self preservation may work in favor of the entire case being dismissed.

The Judges and people working in that office don't want a good thing ruined. They don't want this thing to rock the boat - or Cruise ship.

Let's see:

1. I am never surprised by Nifong. He is nuts. He and Mangum may well be bunkmates in whatever institution she is currently in. So I am not surprised he released the e-mail exchange and "accidently" left on Meadow's private e-mail address and phone number. What did you expect him to do, release evidence of a rape? He doesn't have any.

2. I don't much care for Meadow's either. She fell for the Nifong date rape drug scam because she wanted it to be that way. That is not an objective reporter.

3. Sheehan in my view has a small point. Reporters in general believe DAs and others act in good faith. Some of our complaint here is that the MSM is too skeptical about GOP office holder and military authorities but not Dims. So I can not blame a reporter for not suspecting a new DA would be telling out and out lies to them. Now I will blame them if they ever believe another thing Nifong says for the next four or five years. Anyone could change, but if I were a burned reporter, I would not trust a thing that jackass brayed for at least that long.

That is why Nifong and the rest of the feminist lunatics are increasing the volume on the "we have a case" lie - so when the thing is thrown out they will claim that the system "did not allow them to go forward with their supposed air-tight case". Plus, they get to place all the blame for this abortion on the evil blogs - especially the "sexist, racist, right-wing hate-mongers".

And THAT is how they are going to save face.

On the other hand, if this goes on much longer the outrageous lies they are spreading today will be picked apart - that is why it is in Nifong's best interest that this thing end suddenly now - while he still has an out.

I walked around the house recently. Buchanan runs north/south and is a very busy street. The lot for the lax house is bounded on the south by an east/west alleyway that runs through to the next street to the east. There is an extension off the back of the house. If the bathroom is in that extension then it would be possible to look out the window and into the alleyway. If the cars were parked in the alleyway then it would be possible to look out the window and see the cars and the people next to them. From the layout, I've always assumed that neighbor Bissey lives in the house on Buchanan just south of the alleyway. This would have given him the opportunity to observe the alleyway and the back yard of the house.

Yeah, lol, performing a public, on-camera demonstration as to how the victim was choked isn't exactly a plea for help.

None of Nifong's antics constituted any sort of plea for help from the public such as we see in murder or missing persons cases. What was the plea? "PLease, if you just happned to have been robbing the Duke lax house while the alleged rape occurred, perhaps hiding in a closet, you are a witness and we need your help." GMAB

That Nifong would lie about his intentions and purpose in conducting those interviews and announcements says so much about what a sneaky, whiney, opportunistic weasel he really is.

One point that came up last night, I think made by Greta, is the timing of Nifong's response to Meadows email - apparently a few hours after the request for an interview. The memo is long enough that it seems to me that it was an edited version of an existing document - repurposed. In other words, it seems to me that Nifong had this press release set to go and the Meadows email triggered it. Then it blew up in his face because the defense had released all the discovery documents to Abrams and most of Nifong's assertions became transparently inaccurate.
Nifong's response is too carefully structured to be an off the cuff retort. Someone needs to deconstruct to identify what he is carefully not saying.
