The face is off limits when it comes to waching any of mine! Even Jake who loves to have the water hit is mouth hates his face to get wet.
My horse hated his face getting wet too, but I always had trouble spraying him down because he would always try to grab the hose for a drink. Would stick the whole thing in his mouth, or slurp on it.
Most horses seem that way but she was sick and congested about a year ago and I would clean the gunk. I guess it felt good because now she holds her head towards me and if she was a cat she would purr as I wash her face with a cloth.
With Bay, how well his face gets washed usually depends on who can get taller. Guess who usually wins :~D
