Huh - I think of Bermuda as a lawn grass, so I'd have thought it was green.

This stuff is almost too green, but they're lovin' it. I bought some of this, and some feed store local that they had been on before this stuff of Tiff's... Thought I'd alternate, feed this blue stuff morning and the blander local at night.

Third cutting orchard grass is a little more balanced, a little coarser and has the seedheads on it. That's the stuff that's better to stock up on for winter.

The hay that our feedstore has is bermuda and is green like that. I bought a bale last year when I went to that CTR. Harley emptied a hay net of it so fast that it worried me he'd make himself sick. Celia let me have some of the hay she had. It was good hay just not so rich. He ate it fine just not so fast.
