I've had great pilots who describe all the sights on the whole flight, and then other flights they've said nothing. The time we flew right over Mt. St. Helens and it was steaming, the pilot didn't say a WORD! :~0

I thought I saw somewhere that you'll be on a 757. Those are mostly new enough that they sometimes have these nifty tv screens at each seat, and one of the channels you can watch is a map of where you are in real time. We had that for our flight to Florida. Not on the way back though, it just depends on how the plane is outfitted.

I was flying home from Houston one night over the Gulf. There was a full moon. The pilot (SW of course) came on with something like "Folks yall have got to see this" He acted like he had never seen moonlight on the water before. It was beautiful though
