The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Thank you. He is very quiet, just needs some finishing on neck reining and slowing down in his gaits. This was one of the other pics, she sent me, when I first inquired.

Someone posted a link to view the pictures he took at Robbers Cave. It's basically all the horses as they passed two different spots so they all look alike, just a different horse in the picture. Here's one he got of Harley and I.

That is a really cool picture of you and Harley. Nice and green there. Did you have a lot of fun? I am so proud of you. All the hard work really paid off. What did you win btw? As far as a prize, I mean. You might have mentioned it and I missed it.

Thanks:) Yes it was a lot of fun, and I can't wait for next season. As of right now, I'm hoping to go to a ride in March, April, and May, then 2 in Sept. and 1 in Nov. I haven't decided yet if I'll move to Open or go ahead and stay in Novice one more year. I just really not sure "I" could do the added miles and speed that are required in Open...by the end of the Novice ride, I'm pretty exhausted. After a point it's not fun anymore. I do pretty good up to about 5 1/2 hours, then I'm looking for the end:) Open doesn't ride much longer then that really tho, but they do move out faster, not sure how I would handle that. I can always go in the CP division too, which is advanced Novice.

I won a blue ribbon and a bag of horse treats:).

I just realized after looking at a few more that they're turning a corner there. So maybe it isn't the weeds he wants, it's that he thinks Becky might not know the way :~)

I didn't see the other, hard for me to tell from the thumbnails and it takes to long to load the others.
