This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Well, *they* say, California is now home to the fruits and nuts. I've even got a T-shirt that says it.
I hop you get them home soon. Be sure to take pictures as they recover so we can see how they are doing.

We will have to do some barn rearranging. Probably just let Biscit and Jody in the pasture for now. Then put up another stall. I have room for two more on the other side of the barn, but just always bucked at building them. Storage you know... :)

I used to keep one as a pet. But, I let it go after I found it crawling up the wall one day after escaping its terrarium. It was wild-caught anyway.
My Jack Russell would just have TOO much fun with a tarantula!
Some people just breathe up the air that good people can use!
Unbelieveable, but it sounds like you got a deal. Wish I had room for another. I'd like a nice, comfortable, easy trail horse for my husband and other non-horsey types to ride.
I know of an Appy in Sacremento :~)
We got some, as a more than a sprinkle and less than a real rain, today too. I was grateful for even the little bit that we got.
Even the weeds have died.

Well, you've got plenty of time before winter sets in to put in some stalls. And they really don't need them, it just always makes me feel better if my horses can get out of the weather. They don't :) but they have the choice.
May I offer you and Reba a suggestion? You have two years to get your continuing education hours for every re-newal. Don't cram at the last minute. Sigh. 1 more to go.
