The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

What happened to your jaw?

Eddie hit me:')

Seriously, I have no idea. For the last 2 days I'm fine and then I'm having pain that almost brings me to my knees where that tooth was pulled. It's like it's still there. When I move my jaw around it gets better but it keeps me up all night. I can eat but I can't talk. I goes away as fast as it starts. I have an appointment tomorrow. Infection? TMJ? Maybe Phantom pain? (grin)

I thought maybe it was from syphoning all that gas from his lawn mowers. :)

Hey everyone.
Had a Dr's appointment in Boston today, and the commute was completely nuts. The trains were packed full all the time because of the Big Dig tunnel collapse, a water main break on Rt. 93, and a RedSox game. We were packed tighter than sardines in a can! It was totally, totally, insane.

Hi. I was reading that that tunnel is a big concern with Beryl coming so close.

Don't be throwing fishes. I can't control this. I may need a new mouse.

Eddie just called and said he was stopping at HEB to get dog food and drinks. I told him I had already fed her twice and went grocery shopping earlier. He said "well, you want me to bring something home for supper? I told him, supper was in the oven. He got really quiet lol. The house is clean, I'm dressed and his clothes are all washed up. I'm going to spoil him so bad that he will never want me going back to work:') Miss Target, I can't imagine retirement, if semi retirement is this good.

Well, back from the vet. We're treating Gidget for a Staph and yeast infection in her nether regions....

Well geez. Now I know what you're talking about. Right now it's off the coast of the Carolinas. It might track up towards us... We'll see what happens, we usually don't get hit too bad. Heck the last hurricane that I can remember us having was about 20 years ago. But this is the first that I've heard about tropical storm Beryl. I'm right in the fat "muscle" part of MA, so if we get hit, I'll get something, based on its projected path. Or maybe the Cape will get the brunt of it. Who knows.

Good Morning.

One more day of this "heat" wave and supposedly cooler temps. Yesterday was not too awful bad until late afternoon. Weeds were sprayed and mulched finally put down. Today, I will take it easy. It will be very humid with rains coming and besides, I am beat!

Yes Cindy, retirement is very very nice. When my daughter was born, I didn't want to work outside the home. Those plans didn't work out, so now I can at least be at home and enjoy my granddaughter.

Poor girl! She's bound to be miserable. Yeast infections ain't no fun and I imagine the staph is just adding insult to injury.

And I wonder, now, if it's been going on for awhile. It's not a place I might have noticed right away. We only noticed when Becky was here, because Gidget was laying spread eagle in the sun, and her nethers looked awfully red and sore. We dumped some Gold Bond on it at the time, but that didn't help. Decided to take her in. It looks even worse now, because he clipped a lot of the hair off it.
