This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

We just got back from taking the horse home that I rode. I got to meet the lady that owns her and thank her for letting me use her. Now we are debating what to do for supper.
Yes, we printed up the boarding pass this morning, I'm gearing up for the plane ride, I still don't get a window seat tho:), this plane is as full as the ones here. The idiots on the plane here that I were sitting in the same row with, all kept their windows closed:(. Just doesn't make sense to me....and I had a baby, under 2 with me...He went to sleep about the last hour...
You know what...I'm ready to be home to see you too:)
Are you working tonight, please don't fall asleep tomorrow and forget me tomorrow.

Another scorcher here in Western PA. The horses don't seem to be faring badly. Each one has a fan outside his stall and they're only out for a few hours in the morning to try to keep them comfortable.
I'm back home, having delivered Becky to the airport. She's probably boarding about now, and should take off for home in about a half hour.
This was a wonderful trip. I'm really glad she came, it was a real fun week for us all!
I hope she gets to see out this time.
She may not.... she wasn't assigned a window for this trip either, and the plane is booked full. :~\
So was Homer all sorry acting or wondering what the fuss was about?
He was a little weird last night, sleeping in weird places and not wanting to come to bed with us... but I don't quite know how to interpret that. I don't think I sensed guilt in it though ;~\ ~shrugs~
