Wow you're the first of three posts in a row!!!!
From descriptions, this sounds very bad, with "lots of blood" coming from a head wound.
Pittsburgh has some of the best health care facilities in the world. He is young and strong. I wish him the best.
I am thinking a good thought for him.

GO STEELERS!
There's a reason that all the dinosaurs without helmets died out.
I have a friend who used to wear a half helmet with a "Helmet laws suck" sticker on the back. After an accident and a 3 month hospital stay he decided that full face helmets weren't so bad. As it is he would have likely died without the half helmet.
Head injuries bleed a lot, but it doesn't mean a damn thing.
ESPN is reporting that the injuries aren't life threatening.
As a bike rider myself, any person who rides a motorcycle without a helmet is a moron.
And I admit, I sometimes ride without one. So I'm a part-time moron.
Head wounds always bleed profusely.
