What "questionable tactics" are you ascribing to me? The article concerned a victim named Mangum, not a suspect. My point was simply to point out the prevalence of Mangums in the area.
I did not mean to cause offense. There have been a spate of references to other Mangums with criminal records. I think it is best to let these lie until or unless there is evidence that these particular individuals are directly or indirectly involved. I do believe it is useful to keep track of these stories since any "easy disposition" of these cases where Nifong has a say and where there is some tie to the AV or her family will certainly raise an issue.
It would be problematic if Nifong used the recent alcohol and drug incident with the Duke LAX player to further "poisoned" the jury pool for this case. That is all I was getting at.
