Megan Kendall says defenses sources are saying that CGM had sex with the driver the night of the alledged rape.
She also said that the prosecuter claims to have "good news" for their case. We have heard that before.
If anyone gets additional information on this, please provide links.

I did not mean to cause offense. There have been a spate of references to other Mangums with criminal records. I think it is best to let these lie until or unless there is evidence that these particular individuals are directly or indirectly involved. I do believe it is useful to keep track of these stories since any "easy disposition" of these cases where Nifong has a say and where there is some tie to the AV or her family will certainly raise an issue.
It would be problematic if Nifong used the recent alcohol and drug incident with the Duke LAX player to further "poisoned" the jury pool for this case. That is all I was getting at.

What are you talking about? The post you replied to was about an entirely different subject, so I can't figure it out. What's this about CGM walking around the corner and one of the players flagging down her driver? Where are you reading this?
I think what he said originally was that he didn't know she worked for an escort service. That was in the very first interview about a week or a little more after the alleged incident when he was caught off guard by the press. It's probably the only time during all of this that he has told the truth.
Nifong will do precisely that.
If CGM is related to any other Mangums in trouble with the law, I think it's relevant to her own criminal background. The parents of the arrested players have been profiled and targeted for their socio-economic position, so I see no need to back off of CGM's background. She may be involved in criminal activities with them that law enforcement and the public are unaware of. I believe that CGM's background, relationships and entailments should be approached from the same viwpoint that criminals are considered, not from the viewpoint taken for victims, especially since she was working for an escort service which is a criminal enterprise, has a serious criminal background of her own, and was involved with known criminals, such as her driver.
In my opinion, the exercises and speculation in this case is because the media won't go there and Nifong has lied his ass off.
Like the Dan Rather thing, when the media was accepting - a hole was filed by individuals on the internet.
I, personally, feel like if we wait for the liberal media to expose this woman or for Nifong to bring forth evidence supporting all sides - well, Chelsie Clinton will be President by that time.

The N.C. News & Observer reported, after interviewing the AV,
that she was new to stripping and she didn't want to go throught with it that night. She hadn't danced for a group before something to that effect.
Of course, many in the media picked up on that N&O article and her fathers comments and it was restated Nationally like fact that she was a novice, etc.
This guy (Barry Saunders) is syndicated and he picks up the ball and runs with it:

I'll do you one better, the N&O went back and did a history of the Lacrosse team and printed that when the poster was out there. The history of noise violations and other violations (many of which were not convictions) were from teams and players that were long gone. It didn't stop them from connecting the previous graduates to the current team.

If the subject is unfair treatment and persecution of these players by the Durham DA, that it is right and fair to examine other crimes in Durham and how they've been dealt with. From bond/bail to sentencing to convictions.
You're right. In many cases, a hair could have meaning, but how many cases involve filthy Fraternity Houses and women mopping the floor with the bodies?

I do know that it's the most common tactic in law enforcement, it's old as the hills and it's usually used when they need to produce some evidence (because there's a lack of it).
I can think of alternative ways that McFayden was turned in.
1) Someone working on Duke's Computer infrastructure. They can look at mail all day long. They would have access.
2) There are 47 players. Some of them, maybe most of them, dorm with students other than lacrosse players. The e-mail is sent to all 47. Someone that receives it (on the team), prints it off. It is the hot-topic on campus. Someone sees it and reads its - pockets it. OR a player shows it to a student (non-player).
I don't think any player is cooperating, probably because nothing happened, but even if someone under pressure agreed (like someone pressured into a false confession) - then you'd think Nifong would've known about the Defense photos.
You'd think he'd want to see them before signing any indictments. And if they had someone on the inside, why the 3 week wait (unheard of) for the lineup. Why the desperate attempt to question players without their legal representation AFTER The indictments are signed and immediately after a defense attorney tells the DA some of the players he's indicting weren't at that the party at that time. There are alibis, time-stamped pictures and proof Nifong is told, then within hours, Patrick Baker dispathces Police investigators to question the players without their legal representatives. The players reported that the Police were asking them about whom was at the Party.

It turned out that $160.00 was in a player's room and the Cell phone and bag were outside - I believe.

Same with the SANE. The report could have said the woman had swelling CONSISTENT with a baterial infection. Instead, they said CONSISTENT with a sexual assualt. It is also CONSISTENT with consensual sex.
