I made the distinction not about drinking, about getting high from drinking.
Most drink without getting drunk.
I would say he has more ability than most of us to do that at home in private. His home is so big, the kids don't even have to know he's drunk.
As far as driving around drunk, never can be a good reason to do that.
Sure, he should get driven around anytime he is going to drink heavily. That is what most anyone else does.
The fact is: he made a public error in judgement. Period. We all do that. The only thing he can do now is apologize, which he did, in public. The rest of it is no one's business but his.
