That's a very magnanimous position to take.
I opined to someone last week that, despite my own take on it, I thought it would be just like God to have made reality be some blend of old/young that would leave everyone on both sides totally humiliated at how wrong they got it.

Actually, what you have missed is the incredibly long period of time -- before the Big Bang -- that convinced God that it might be a good idea to create us.
