WASHINGTON, May 31 After vowing to steer a greater share of antiterrorism money to the highest-risk communities, Department of Homeland Security officials on Wednesday announced 2006 grants that slashed money for New York and Washington 40 percent, while other cities including Omaha and Louisville, Ky., got a surge of new dollars.
Homeland security officials said the grants were a result of a more sophisticated evaluation process

Hmmm... Will I get that much off of a video of Winston swimming in his aquarium?
"Fish Gone Wild," perhaps?

It took me a while to get back to this link, but the story is very reminiscent of ordinary conversations around my house.

One of the things which is interesting about the Undead Thread is that at any moment, a troll-seeking warrior may materialize in our midst, seeking prey.
The bemused and perplexed look on those faces is a sight to behold.
"Stand easy, soldier," I want to say, "your foe has been vanquished long ago, and this is now a place for rest."
But normally, a cautous quiet is advisable.

Very well. Baby Vlad is 5 months old. Young Bill just came back from Boy Scout camp, where he had his first shotgun experience, and when I've lost 6 more pounds, I'll be Officially Thin.
I think about you often when you're not around -- hope you're keeping safe and clean!

Good plan -- some of those troll-hunters are trigger-happy. General Stand is on the side of Truth, Justice, Grits & Gravy.

I've kinda stopped listening within the past couple of months--some of the rants are just too, well, IMO, he could tone it down just a notch with the intensity...
I don't mind the intensity, as such, but the equivocation between Christianity and Islam is disgusting. For example, he says, "But I'm not a biblical absolutist, or else I'd be killing people like al-Qaeda." That is so absurd! Without delving into the manifold diferences between the Qur'an and the Bible, let me just say that Savage is great at reciting the outdated radical Left talking points.
Having Chuck Schumer--bashed and trashed for over two years!--to make points on your show is not a noble deed, as far as I'm concerned.

You're one of them, aren't you? Ready the cannons, boys!

I'm a Biblical absolutist, and I haven't killed anyone lately. Well, fire ants in the flowerbed ...
But when I'm really annoyed, I bless their hearts and offer them a muffin and a prayer card. I suppose that's not very Inclusive of me.

"You're one of them, aren't you? Ready the cannons, boys!" I am a married man, a father of teenagers, a taxpayer, a poet, and a Republican.
You think I'm worried about cannons?
Superman!
Strange visitor from another planet...,
I know how that must feel.
Thats why Im surreptitious,
Whenever I bend steel.
We shouldnt alarm the natives,
Just when does Superman sleep?
Now that they know his secret,
He has promises to keep.
Much better to stay quiet,
And work without the light.
No need to call attention,
To having X-ray sight.
Flying, of course, is forbidden,
Is it a bird or a plane?
It just makes complications,
That are much too hard to explain.
So all my powers are muted,
But I dont have to fear in the storm,
At least I can quietly glance at my cup,
And keep my coffee warm!

Stripped to the gills!
See what they do after hours when nobody's watching the tank! You think you've seen Betas, but you haven't seen anything yet. Order now for $19.95 and we'll throw in the "Fins Exposed" DVD free of charge.

Next Olympics there could be synchronized Underwater Basket Weaving. Any engineer will tell you that it's asynchronous coordinated event sequences that are the most exciting...
