WASHINGTON, May 31 — After vowing to steer a greater share of antiterrorism money to the highest-risk communities, Department of Homeland Security officials on Wednesday announced 2006 grants that slashed money for New York and Washington 40 percent, while other cities including Omaha and Louisville, Ky., got a surge of new dollars.
Homeland security officials said the grants were a result of a more sophisticated evaluation process

In some of the Lakes up Minnesota way, Bluegill and Sunfish are "panfish" that we used to catch by the dozens. Of course, it'd take 5-6 fillets per serving per person. 1-2 pounds was what we aimed for and those were pretty good sized.
Never did much care for the taste of Bass, Nothern, or Walleye though.

LOL! No, reports from the offspring were that the sprinklers were pleasantly cool. But I didn't get sprinkled, except in passing.

It's not very humid here today. Usually if we get high humidity on a hot day in the summer, we'll have thunderstorms by suppertime.

We get them 3-4 times a week. At least we don't get the huge "supercells" with tornados, like we did in Tulsa all spring and summer. About once a month, we'd end up huddling in our downstairs back hall because there was a tornado in our area.
