WASHINGTON, May 31 After vowing to steer a greater share of antiterrorism money to the highest-risk communities, Department of Homeland Security officials on Wednesday announced 2006 grants that slashed money for New York and Washington 40 percent, while other cities including Omaha and Louisville, Ky., got a surge of new dollars.
Homeland security officials said the grants were a result of a more sophisticated evaluation process

Pretty much. I can occasionally be both hugh and series. Occasionally I'll scarmable my typing. Especially when my right index fingertip is encased in a bandage from a horrifying pepper slicing incident.
Ok... not so much horrifying as painful. Note to self: do not continue to cut jalapenos after breaching skin integrity.

((hugs))...have you ever tried ginger tea for the nausea? Sometimes it helps a lot.

Unfortunately, no matter what I use, it's temporary at best. Until I get settled again, I'll just have to live with it.
But thanks for the suggestion. I also put cinnamon in my cocoa...just so I can say the cocoa has "medicinal value." *smirk*

Cocoa does! It keeps your blood vessels flexible and reduces the risk of stroke and is a powerful antioxidant. And it tends to act like a seretonin uptake inhibitor...all the more reason to have some!
Celestial seasons makes a peach-ginger tea that can really be good on spasmy tummies...but like you say, it won't always work, counts on what's causing the nausea.
Coca cola syrup is also a tried and true remedy for some types of upset too...
For most of my tummy tribulations, it requires antispasmodics though, like atrophine drugs or valium. But my innerds are more perverse than most people's.

That is does. I've had both the Great Onion Juice euphoria and the Orange Peel Acid Dip before. But there is just something special about the capsaicin in jalapenos that will really get your attention.
Also, a serious note for your fellows out there. After chopping up a half dozen jalapenos, be sure to wash your hands several times BEFORE using the lavatory. Please, do not ask me to elaborate further.
