WASHINGTON, May 31 After vowing to steer a greater share of antiterrorism money to the highest-risk communities, Department of Homeland Security officials on Wednesday announced 2006 grants that slashed money for New York and Washington 40 percent, while other cities including Omaha and Louisville, Ky., got a surge of new dollars.
Homeland security officials said the grants were a result of a more sophisticated evaluation process

You could feel as though you were in any space imaginable.
Keep in mind that your real body will be suspended in a suit, probably from the back, (almost like a puppet.)
Motion limiters built into the suit would give you "mime" function, so that you could feel floors and walls, and furniture, in the artificial space you are in.
The computer would generate the feeling of the various textures of things.
However, if you were in an outer space scenario, you would still feel the pull of gravity. You'd still know up from down.
In an underwater scene, you'd feel an artificial slowness to your movements.
Another interesting concept to think about is the android robot whose body "you" occupy when visiting someone else.
Various models should be available, male, female, child. Perhaps even a unisex model that could adjust to be either male or female, and you could play either role if you wanted to.
One could collect several such robots together and ... and .... we could put on a play!

Okay, I'll let you mow my lawn, but it's going to be rough on my robot. Try not to damage the special equipment.

Special equipment - the film was made in '92, technology was primitive back then...

No, I mean the special equipment on my robot. I had to pay extra for that, you know.
Storm coming. I guess I'll be reading for a while.

No. Sometimes we have music, does that count as noise you think?
;o)
To: EsmeraldaA
I guess it depends on the kind of music you play! ;)
