Hmmm, or that could be the plot of the 24 movie ........
Good thought but I thought the movie was supposed to have all the t.v characters. Evne the ones who died this season.

One great way for 24 to loose their fan base (this fan at least) would be to change superheroes.

He will appear fine, generally, but he will begin to have disturbing flashbacks... Ultimately, Jack will have to battle his greatest nemesis -- himself -- as he gradually realizes he's a...MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE. Methinks you have it!

Jack will be brainwashed, and he will be back in the US when season 6 starts, working undercover for the ChiComs. He will then somehow be deprogrammed, and turn on the ChiComs. This will be similar to the season when he started out being addicted to heroin. (actually, this is a theory that my co-worker has).

I didn't really care for the last few minutes either. It was kind of a "Oh COME ON!" thing. Poor Jack, never a moments rest.
Oh well, I'll still be watching next season!

Jack escaping from a China prison to the shores to be met by a sub to return home would be a brilliant season.

I want to know how the ChiComs knew he would want to take a phone call from his daughter.
To: silent_jonny
My feeling is this -- if they could get him from that warehouse, onto a ship, and get the ship out into the open water in 8 minutes, Jack can certainly get back from China in an hour.
I'm pretty sure CTU is just a 10-minute drive from there. It's a 10-minute drive from anywhere.
To: CharlesWayneCT
If you had the type of day that Jack had wouldn't you want to take a call from a family member who is presumably checking about your well-being?

The Chi's definitely have something in store for Jack other than mindless incarceration. Remember, he's to important to kill.
Brainwashing does comes to mind but it seems like too obvious a plot, IMO.

I'm thinkin' if Jack *does* end up in China, he just has to escape long enough to get to a phone so's he can ask Chloe to open a portal in the space-time continuum for him.
She can do *anything*.
To: llevrok
I thought that Peter Weller's character was fascinating. Christopher was Jack's teacher and mentor. What a terrific villain he was...his demise was a high point in the resolution of this "day".
To: EmilyGeiger
Well, if he's been brainwashed and is having flashbacks, it's possible.

Just got back from vacation and found your thread! I also hated to see Jack captured by the Chinese, but I'm sure he'll escape without too much trouble. Hope FLOTUS returns next year and will strike up a romance with Aaron!
