Jason opened his show on Tuesday, May 23rd, with the sad news that he and his family are going home to Minneapolis, Minnesota.
"...I guess it was a Biblical passage that said 'this too shall pass'." Jason started. "I've got an announcement today that is very difficult to utter...but I've reached the decision with my family that it's time to go home." Jason stressed that his decision was a personal one, and is not related to any perceived pressure from elected officials or station management. (Listen to his entire statement below in the Show Audio Section) Jason will continue to work through the end of his contract, which ends in October, or until WBT management can indentify the new host.
The Jason Lewis Show, home of Beatle Bumper Fridays, deals with some serious issues but Jason's sense of humor brings a good deal of levity to the show. Lighter topics include sports, trivia, music and movies. And you'll definitely hear plenty of Elvis and the Beatles during any given broadcast. Jason Lewis' broadcast career began in 1990 at KOA Radio in Denver . He spent some time here at WBT before moving to Minneapolis/St. Paul to talk for ten years on KSTP.
Jason Lewis returned to WBT and began his Radio Free Carolinas broadcast on October 23rd, 2003.
as long as they have GL, they own that time slot.
I am glad "Mr. Right" is coming back.
I've met him a few times at tax rallies. He's a good guy.
Got a reply to my e-mail to Jason.
He is pumped.
same here. I'm sure old lefty caller "Scott" will not be pleased. I used to love it when he'd shoot down his diatribe, tell him to shut up and hang up on him.
now old Scott calls Dave Thompson.
So I've noticed.....
I have never liked Hannity, can't really tell you why but I just don't.
We need him more then you. Your state is already red, there is a LOT of work to be done here.
Yea, he always did the state fair. Very nice guy.
ping
This is awesome!
KSTP had it golden with Limbaugh (albeit on tape delay), Soucheray, then Lewis...once Lewis left, I lost alot of interest.
Sounds like KTLK is stealing the thunder. Has his time slot been confirmed?
Saw on Fox this am that Mancow isn't with his station in Chicago anymore. What happened?
I'm sure he'll be in the 2:00 - 5:00 slot (right after Rush).
I'm wrong - He's got the 5-8 shift.
