Just thought I'd liven up the thread a little...;o]
Did your daughter get re-tested, yet?
:o])
'Morning, ladies!
How you doing gal??
Glorious weather here at last. I have been working in my garden this morning. YAY!
We've had hot, windy weather for the last week. I don't mind the hot, but the wind in Las Vegas doesn't blow ~~ it sucks.
Other than that, things are great!
No, she retests on the 27th. We're giving her a "time out".
She settled down, but it was a rough couple of days.
I'm SOOOO glad my kids have grown up and have kids of their own! Of couse, this summer, Gramma's Boot Camp is in full swing, but I suspect they will survive it...;o]

Yes they were!
LOL!
Life is good! ;o]
LOL!!!!
Laughter for you from here in Milwaukee :)
WHOA! You sure get around! Is Milwaukee one of your weekly (?) trips, now?
I'm leaving for NYC for a week, tomorrow. I've never been there, so this is going to be fun, I think!
Yep -- fly in on Sunday, fly home on Friday :(
Week after next I have an even more fun loop -- LAX to Chicago, Chicago to Milwaukee, Milwaukee to Chicago, Chicago to Seattle, Seattle to LAX.
But I think I will pick up a bazillion Frequent Flyer Miles. I have 1.5 million miles, but they are spread between 3 airlines. Now that I have learned my lesson, I stay with American. I have around 3/4 million miles there. When you hit 1 million you are Gold for life (never again do I have to wait in line). 2 million gets you Platinum for life (no charge for upgrades).
The week after that I have to flight Midwest Airlines (AA was sold out -- go figger). But I snagged their "premium" flights -- sort of like Jet Blue, all the seats are leather 1st class style.
I'll report back.
In the meantime, enjoy NYC (I was glad I got to spend a few afternoons there). Make sure you get on the boat to the Statue of Liberty, which stops at 3:00 pm (I was late and learned that too late). Post up some pics (I keep forgetting to post up mine from when I went there). How long will you be there?
Wow. Share the miles, OK? LOL!
My friend has an itinerary all planned for me, both walking tours and accompanied. The Statue of lIberty is on the list, along with Ground Zero, Times Square, Central Park and a bunch of other places I can't even remember.
I somehow think a week won't be enough time to see all I want to see. I want to see the Intrepid, as well, but I think thast's an all-day tour in itself.
Cool -- I didn't get much of a chance to prepare, so I winged it.
I was able to spend the afternoon when I got there (I took the subway to Ground Zero) and the afternoon after my meeting was over (I walked through Central Park and went to Times Square). They have done a great job of cleaning NYC up since I was last there. The gook is all gone and it felt very safe.
NYC chick and I had a bit of a tiff about my opinion of NYC back then so I am pinging her to share how much I enjoyed my stay there this time.
I stayed at the Marriott across the street from the Waldorf Astoria (which was actually cheaper than the Marriot -- if I wasn't such a points whore I could have stayed there). I was sort of hoping we would get the engagement so I could spend more time in Manhatten, but another time I guess.
Make sure you walk all the way around Ground Zero -- the view isn't very good from a lot of it and they have this steel grating that makes it tough to see. Someone recently posted some great pics from the skyscraper across the street. If I go back I will find a way to go way up in that building.
Like I said -- we will be expecting a fun fact-filled report wile you are there or when you get back :)
I'll be making journal entries every day, and also taking lots of photos, so I'll be able to remember most of the details. I'm going to thoroughly enjoy it, for sure. I've never wanted to go to NYC, putting it on the bottom of my list of Places To See, but I'm actually looking forward to this trip.
My friend promised to show me "everything." That may be a little difficult to do, considering the size of the place, but I'm sure it will all be fun.
Heh-heh-heh. The ring of Truth, there.
A prophet is never without honor but in his own hometown. Those folks will never forget when you puked on your shoes; they'll never let you live yourself down.
Which is exactly why I no longr live in my home town!
LOL!
Man...where is everyone? Usually, the jokes bring them out...:o|
