As my mother would say at times like these, "This too, like constipation, shall pass." (She was a crazy lady.)

I hope your daughter passes for her own self-esteem, but I hope she fails for your sanity.

I wish *hugging back*...tummy's sicky, they don't know why, and my head hurts...pretty much the way I've been for about a month now...between that and asthma attacks.

But I don't have an ulcer. That much is nice. I can still keep drinking the coffee...

Follow up...

I'm back in the office. Teenzilla has been delivered to the high school.

She didn't pass, and her angry reaction was not very helpful. I was sympathetic to a point, then I had to tell her in no uncertain terms to "get a grip", and I finally had to toss her out of the DMV and make her go wait in the car after she started ranting about the examiner.

Fortunately the gal behind the counter was accustomed to seeing teenagers in varying states of distress, and it didn't bother her.

I drove home, which ticked her off even more, but there was no way I was letting her get behind the wheel while she was crying and ranting.

She can't retest until the 27th. Next time, Daddy gets the duty.

I solved that problem. I said, when you can pay for your car insurance, I'll let you get your license.

Welp, next month he comes into a small inheritance and turns 18...watch out world! But he won't be on MY insurance policy.

I have lots of hugs to give because I've been getting some from the grandkids. Life is good. :o]

I'm sorry about your tummy. I have nausea a lot with CFIDS and I know how disconcerting it can be. There isn't much you can do for it. BUT! I've found that a beer or two will calm it. I don't know if it's the carbonation or the fact that beer had already been digested, but I do know it works.

I'm glad you can still drink the coffee! That's good!

There should've been an age limit on the whole site this morning.

Tell her that her reaction to the failing grade is proof enough that she has no business behind the wheel of a car until she can control her emotions better. How can she expect to control a 2000 pound vehicle if she can't control a 120 pound person?

(Or however much she weighs...)

As an adult who didn't start driving until I left New Orleans and moved somewhere where I had to drive and couldn't rely on public transportation, I will admit I flunked the test the first time too...it's very common. My hubby, who first started to drive in the Seattle-Tacoma area as a teen flunked his test the first time , too.
