If you are a practicing Catholic, why would you go see a movie that blasphemes our Lord?

Because I do not think that it blasphemes our Lord. That's it! Because you are so upset, I now plan to take my family and my kids, AND THEIR FRIENDS to the movie. All Catholic school kids. All exposed to the movie. THE HORROR!!

What part of "fiction" don't you get? I just finished reading the book, it is not well-written and certainly not worth all the hype that certain people seem to like to stir up over it. At best, it is a paperback to read while waiting for a flight.

to those religious folks who feel threatened by the da vinci code,

ask yourself one question:

what is more believable - that there was a man named jesus who happened to be married and had a child?...OR, that a man named jesus was immaculately conceived, and walked on water, and turned water into wine, etc........

...the bible is THE biggest piece of fiction of all time, and should have a disclaimer saying so
