What A Shame About Jay, (Leno)
Stardate: 0605.16
Posted on 05/15/2006 9:18:46 PM PDT by The Wizard
I turn on Jay at night to go to bed with a laugh before heading off to whatever is next......
I love the headlines bit and he really makes me laugh......but tonight's continued tirade on GWB made me turn him off..... I could not stand another crack from some "entertainer" about how the President of our country, the most important man on earth in many ways, (because he effects so many lives) and we constanly have to listen to people who haven't accomplished a thimbal full tell him and us what they think...and it's unceasing.......and worse: it's getting BORING......
Grow up Jay, or you're going to lose the people that still do watch you.....don't be fooled by polls......you're in TV, you know how numbers can be made to lie.......

Lighten up.
I'm a solid Bush supporter, proudly in the 29%, and I love the jokes.
To: The Wizard
I lost my sense of humor about a lot of things, not because I am any different. THEY became very mean indeed.
The Bob Hope style jokes about the President are long gone.
Now we have venom dripping from the fangs of comedians.
No thanks.
To: The Wizard
maybe's it's just me, but the President is a man that deserves respect.....Respect for the office is deserved; respect for the person currently holding that position still has to be earned by the person holding that position. Do new corporate CEO's automatically get respect, or must they earn it?

I bet you loved it when Clinton was president. You need to grow up.

I used to think that conservatives were for freedom of speech. I guess that I was wrong. How long before my comment is pulled?

Isn't Leno a Republican? At any rate, Leno isn't half as bad as Letterman. Letterman constantly bashes on Bush, routinely invites big lib guest. He's a political hack hiding behind the guise of "comedy".

Jay Leno is shamefully attacking the President (you can make jokes without being maliciously spiteful) to save his own skin.
Remember how Schwarzenegger announced his bid to be governor on Leno's show? Well since he was successful, the Left went totally ape-sh*t on Leno. So much so that shortly there after Leno was forced to announce his retirement by 2009 (I think that is the year he gave).
Who has ever in the history of TV has announced their retirement like that? No one but Jay Leno, and that is because of the blow-back he got from Arnold actually winning.
So what he is doing now is what they all have been doing on the Left to promote themselves: "Look at me, I hate Bush the most." Except now in this case it is Jay Leno trying to cling on to his prestige, fame and fortune as Late Night host.
And don't forget, when the Presidential campaign was going he was interviewed in a serious non-joking article and was asked what advice he would give Kerry to campaign on, and what did he advice? "Make George Bush look stupid every single day of the week."
Oh what a coincidence, just like Jay Leno does on his "comedy show"!

So you came right here to FR where all you are going to get is more of the same?
I really used to love this site, but all you get these days is negativism and hate for the President.

Hate the sin, love the sinner. This president is the right one for the WOT but not when he is willing to sign the Campaign Reform Bill (democRat and RINO written), pushes Ted"the swimmer" Kennedy's education bill and REFUSES to acknowledge the fact that 75 per cent of American CITIZENS do not want AMNESTY for criminals. That is where his detracters are getting their ammo. Again I say, he is the right man for the WOT but you have to weigh the good vs the bad.

All of the other issues are moot if we are attacked again.
I do not believe that the terrorist are coming across the Souther boarders. They are already here. Maybe even native born!!!!

Basically I agree with you except for the "terrorist" bit. I guess my definition of terrorist includes the Brown Berets and the Aztlan crowd. I strongly support a legal worker program BUT NOT WITH AMNESTY. That is so wrong.

I guess that you have never heard of Oklahoma City! Also, there are tons of Black Muslim's in this country just chomping at the bit to destroy the white Christian.
This is not a racist statement. I hear them on the radio all of the time.

"Not all of them portray him accurately as a smart, and discerning man, but that doesn't make some of them less funny."
George Bush, if we can go by college records, is much more intelligent than Al Gore, for example, and he has moral values and common sense on top of it..A rare combination. Yet, one would never know it by listening to the leftist media. I have concluded that one can be "smart and discerning" only if one is a leftist in their eyes. If I had a choice I would trust the "blue collar" over the college or university professor any day. And, never, never trust the situation ethics of the entertainment world.

Stopped watching Leno & Letterman a couple of years ago, totally tired of it. With Leno, a lot of times the audience was barely laughing at his sick jokes.

its easier to make fun of the President than to work up new material. Jay is getting lazy.

Also, there are tons of Black Muslim's in this country just chomping at the bit to destroy the white Christian. Do you think there are 10 MILLION of them (a very low estimate of illegals, I would say 20 million plus)? Pure numbers are overwhelming and don't underestimate the hatred and viciousness expressed in these "protests" by these criminals illegal immigrants undocumented workers and other malcontents (see the anti war crowd involved with the illegals).
