I was never interested in it, but now with all these bannings I think I might. Im looking forward to seeing the movie too. I think all this controversy does is help sell the movie, and more books. Im sure the producers cant stop smiling about all this free publicity.

Agreed, I didn't really have any interest until the controversy really heated up, and finally broke down and read the book. Found it to be great, and immediately after, read Anels and Demons.

This is the same situation as "the last temptation of christ".

Remember national treasure? Everone knew that one was "contrived" for fun.

This is the same situation, All day today there have been Da Vinci Code documentaries which all universally show this is just a flight of fancy of some french guy who was trying to say he was really french royalty.
