Opus Dei provides virtual tour of US headquarters

Are you one of those curious types who after reading The Da Vinci Code want to see what is really inside an Opus Dei center, the group author Dan Brown mistakenly claims harbors sadistic albino assassins?

While I certainly wouldn't classify myself as a "sadistic albino assassin," I would say that it is indeed quite easy to see the inside of an Opus Dei center. In fact, in Madrid I simply called up and asked to come over for a visit. Nobody turned me down, and I imagine that's the way it is around the world.

Indeed, it is so easy that traveling needn't even be a problem. In fact, if you are reading this article you can most likely also take a tour - albeit a virtual one - of the US national headquarters for Opus Dei. That's right, the supposedly secret organization actually provides a virtual tour (link provided below) of the Murray Hill Place Opus Dei center, which is located in downtown Manhattan, New York at the corner of Lexington Avenue and 34th St.. Terri Carron, who is a US spokeswoman, conducts the tour.

I think it is interesting/funny that a religion based on faith considers its faith to be facts and everyone in the world has to agree with it. Last I read this is a book of fiction; furthermore how is attacking Dan Brown any different than the attacks Salmon Rushdie got (no death threats yet, that we know of anyway).

The writers of this movie should've sued Dan Brown.

Brown has represented the background material of his book as fact, not as fiction.

He personally makes the claim in his preface that the information he provides on history and ritual are true.

Well, I read the book and I didn't find "It's fiction, dude" written anywhere in the pages.

On the contrary, Mr. Brown highly believes what he's written to be true, even though it's in novel form.

And I DO accept that it is fiction (as well as a Big Lie).

What I don't accept is that Mr. Brown claims that most of it is not fiction at all [which is why I mentioned "false witness"]
