I must have only gotten about 10 votes in for Taylor during the past hour. I'm taking a short break to check in.
I put the Awards on while voting...
Reba's "foot in their mouth" line was GREAT tonight.
Carrie won two big awards and my girl Sara Evans won best female vocalist! AAAWWWW YEAAAHHHHH!
But I didn't see Shania!! Bummer!
Oh well...back to voting....SOUL PATROL!!!WHOOO!!

Oh I totally agree. And that is the difference between the two. I still felt bad for her, though. But, that has been her problem all through this. Emoting. Several of the guests mentioned it to her. She can't seem to put herself into the song. And THAT is what acting is. I'm not sure how she'll manage.
I think Elliott should have been there instead of her. At leat he wants to be a singer not an actor! With her parent's connections, you would think that she would have been discovered already if anyone really wanted her for singing or acting. jmo

Well...doncha know Kelly is from just down the road a piece from me..ya'll!!!

It's like election night :)LOL I said to my wife that this is going to be another "red state/blue state showdown". Bush Country is Taylor Country and the metrosexuals will vote for Kat.
BTW just NOW, for the first time, got a vote in for Taylor from PA.

If McPhee wins this, I will have no choice but to join the tinfoil crowd.
There is just no way--NO WAY--she should win this.
Agreed.:)

I'm thinking he has to appeal to the younger folks as well.

Kat's going to do fine despite all her critics.
Chris should have been there but one can't fight the power of Kat and her McPhee's.

Rascal Flatts just thanked "Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ". They so deserve this. I missed that :-/ I used to hate Country music, but in the past few years, I've really been drawn to it for it's unapologetic Christianity and wholesomeness (gyrating strippers aside :)

Bush Country is Taylor Country and the metrosexuals will vote for Kat. That's a poor analogy.

It's in the bag for Taylor then since Kat's fans have a curfew and bedtimes. LOL--that's what ruined Ace :)

News is gonna be interesting tonight. A 911 call from a kid whose mom had a bear on top of her. One of the top two has grandparents living here (Bellevue, Washington) who knows which one, anyone?

I can see Taylor Hicks singing on this award show next year. That's what I was thinking too. (Please win, Taylor!)

15 minutes until left coast voting starts.
Dail Idol should show better predictions by midnight east coast time.
Geez...I freakin sound like Britt Hume on Election night...

I used to hate Country music, Me too, I'm a Led,Floyd,Stones,Who... rocker Christian from Kentucky.
But when O'Brother came out, and given My heritage, the Bluegrass hymns cause me pause every time.

I like Taylor's Levon. I know he was nervous and pitchy but I think without the nerves I might like it better than Elton.
To: Netizen
Taylor once again showed real humility and class near the end of the show, reaching over past Ryan and taking Kat's hand with a firm clasp. On numerous occasions he has made gestures like this towards her and other "rivals".
Tay is one righteous dude.

Yeah, the 3rd song for K was a stinker. She needed to pick a different key or something.
Again, she sucks on the low end (which could work out for her future husband I guess)
