Today's protest was purportedly designed by organizers to demonstrate the economic impact of a day without immigrants. Certainly, here in LA there were massive protests, but trade continued at a fairly brisk pace from my observations. BONUS: The freeways had the lightest traffic in years.
I spent $212 at Wal-Mart, and then another $104 grocery shopping.
We're not worthy (bowing down to KAC).
You GO, girl!
Bought a new printer and picked up take-out at Neomonde on Davis Drive.
Mmmm...baklava...
According to Foxnews: Illegals are less than 1/10th of 1% of the economy so yesterdays boycott did virtually nothing!
I spent all my weekly funds yesterday!!
I went out to eat at Hooters and left a $30 tip for the waitress.
Then I went to a gun shop and bought myself a Remington 700 VLS in .308win for $650.
I asked the gun store clerk if things had been busy lately and he said he had gotten more business that day than normal. Chalk up another loss for the illegals and their communist allies.
I personally spent over $220
AND had my gas pumped by a wonderful gentleman named Luis who was chatting with me about how ridiculous the whole boycott was.
I also made sure to patronize a few small businesses who kept their doors open in my ethnically diverse city.
It was sad to see so many of the Indian stores closed when the boycott isn't even going to benefit them!
The legal immigrants need to stand up for their rights! Why should illegal aliens get greencards while everyone else spends thousands and waits years!!!???!!
Imagine if all the LEGAL immigrants had a boycott!!?
I also am NOT buying any Goya products- as they were all for the boycott.
I spent over $800 yesterday on home electronics, restaurant meals and cosmetics. I wish they would boycott more often because my family and I are no longer eating Mexican food or drinking Mexican beer (both of which we love). And we will be celebrating Eat American Food Day on May 5.
I bought my son tennis shoes, 60 bucks, a shirt, 58 bucks, bought myself shoes and nylons, 100 bucks, 40 bucks for gas, had my hair done, 30 bucks, my son's hair done, 25 bucks. We ate out twice, at Ol South Pancake House, and Cracker Barrel. Neither has illegal employees in my area.
I was about 300+ dollars lighter at the end of the day.
How many square feet is your new sunroom going to be? If I may ask.
It's not really all that large. Actually it's more of an addition to the living room, but it is about 12' by 20'.
Cinco is espanol for 5 so it always falls on 5 May. ;o)
Great work, Grandma!
This could be the winner! Fine effort!
That's sitting well!
That's gonna be tough to beat. Great job!
Another sparkling effort! Great job!
