I'm very sorry for the disappointment you're experiencing. Perhaps being more aggressive about that time period and emphasizing that you haven't been absent from the field but instead gaining more skills while staying honed on the ones you already have.

Just off the phone with my elder sister. Her husband is having health issues that will cause his death... probably pretty soon.

Life is tough all over. We meet together, pray together, and help each other through.
