I heard about the job today.... "You are qualified, but we're looking for someone with more RECENT experience..." 4th time I've heard that line. I'm really paying for going to culinary school and deploying for a year and a half. That gap is killing me.

If it wasn't for my integrity, I would fake up 3 years of my resume, and get a job. But I can't do that.

Ok... I'll put out another 40 resumes so that I can get one call, and be told that I'm too old. One foot in front of the other.

Isn't it sad that all those preppy HR people don't realize that you have forgotten more than those with "more recent experience" will ever know.

Prayers continue.

I'm so sorry to hear that johnny. It's better to stay honest than get caught doing something you'll pay dearly for. Is your enlistment up, is this the reason you're putting out resumes? Look at Sec Rumsfield, how old was he when he was asked to be Sec, he was over 70. One is never too old, someone will see your value, and you will be very surprised.
