Most of the military hardware you see on the show is real. It isn't dressed up for the show. Most of the troops you see on the show are real. (That honor guard for David Palmer was made up of real military personal.)....
Wow!

2. Why the hell wasn't Jack smart enough to play the recording for Cloe to record at CTU while he was driving around L.A.?
He's smart enough, but sweet sassy molassey, even Jack Bauer slips up...probably just tired or sumtin' like that.
Maybe daydreaming about Audrey....

I think that Jack is going to become a victim of the Chicom's black market organ transplant program..someone will pay a lot of money for Jack's magical kidney's, and bladder.
I got dibs on his magical, everlasting cell phone and anything else he carries in that man purse!

No, not a plot hole at all. Within the context of 24-rules, the original digital recording was required for authentication (you will note references to digital signatures). Simply playing the recording over a phone connection would have been useless from an authentication perspective in the 24-universe.
Dang.
Still, it would have been something and maybe just enough to plant some seeds in people's minds.
But such was not to be in the "24-universe."

And WHERE was Wayne Palmer when his brother's body is being flown out?
Wayne "knows too much" as they say. Maybe he didn't feel safe enough to appear in public.

They did something similar in a previous season. It was a website and when you went there, it said something about thanks for watching '24'. LOL!

I agree, but because so much of this show is unbelievable I'm concerned that we all might be regressing into the abyss that Star Trek afficionado's found themselves in as they debated what the meaning if is is in the 38th episode.
Ah, those were the days...LOL!

Maybe that means season 6 will take place only a few days after season 5!
As in, maybe Jack never gets to China? Maybe that other CTU dude they captured is alive and on the boat, too, and he helps Jack escape?

Huh? Why would they kill off Jack?
Maybe the note refers to when they "killed" Jack so he could disappear.
Edgar wouldn't have known Jack's "death" was a ruse and maybe that phone number was the number the only four people who were supposed to know he was alive could use to call Jack in an emergency (or vice versa)?
But why the mirror writing?

Great news on Fox's 24 website. Starting Friday June 16th, Fox will be reairing the entire 5th season, two episode per week.
Awesome...I "missed" so much even though I saw every episode!

That said, Howard Gordon has said that S6 will NOT take place in China.
Well, I guess that fits with my thinking that he will escape or be rescued from the Chinese boat/ship (I still get them confused, too!) way before it can get to China.

Sometimes I think TPTB just do this stuff to see if we're paying attention. The first time I remember that cell # turning up was on Debbie's cell phone when her mother was looking for her. Then Debbie wound up taking a dirt nap & couldn't return the call.

Listening to Yoko Ono could be the one thing that might make Jack loose bowel control.
Kind of like human Kryptonite, she is.

How Buchanan had Edgar's underwear on HIS home floor is another question we may not want answered!
Wha.....?!
Did I miss a scene or two?
