My wife who LOVES 24 alwasys says that the Bond movies are too unbelieable to watch.
I think 24 should try a little harder to make some of the stuff believable. Too many things are a stretch and if they just want to "entertain" they can stick with Idol.
For example, Jack hijacking the first helicopter was unbelieable and unneccesry if they just need the Prez to tell the truth to his wife. She could have gotten that out of him during the pre-helicopter "activities".
And the President looking for "wires" on her and it turns out to be a pen in his pocket. It could have just as easily been a hair pin in her hair or a false nail...unneccesary stuff.
And finally, how in the world could the chicoms have been privy to jack's plans and arrange to get a few agents to pick him up at the end right under the nose of 100 secret service agents. Why not just sneak into his beroom and kidnap him at night....more believable.
If I wanted to kidnap Jack that would have been the worst time to try it, not to mention getting the intel on where he'd be would have been all but impossible.
Chole=Chloe. And I proofread that. LOL.
I agree, but because so much of this show is unbelievable I'm concerned that we all might be regressing into the abyss that Star Trek afficionado's found themselves in as they debated what the meaning if is is in the 38th episode.
ROFL!!!
I have to read this thread the next day since I'm on MDT and see the show an hour after EDT. I'm reading at work and trying to be quiet about it, but you just made me laugh immoderately!
I think in the end this is all going to go back to season 1. Whoever Nina was working for. It will probably end up being someone that was right in front of our faces the whole time. I think every season will tie together somehow. But maybe I'm being too logical. LOL. Especially after last nights ending.
Yea, seriously. Trekkies are some of the weirdest people I have ever met, no offense to any here.
Please add me to the ping list for next year. I lurk and don't comment, but I love the thread!
Thanks......
This is the first season I've watched and I agree that some of the things just seem a little inconsistent. Of course, I expect a lot of dramatic license on a show like this, but sometimes, I wonder if the pace of production causes them to not even bother with details.

One season they accidentally gave out the number on the air and fans started calling it. Everyone decided to take turns answering it so if you called, one day you might spoken with a cameraman, the next it could have been Joel Surnow, or for the lucky ones, you'd get to talk with Kiefer, Carlos, Reiko, etc.
We'll find out next year, hehehe.
Done.
According to Howard Gordon, there are no plans as of this time for there to be a prequel for Season 6.

I just assumed that Logan's unidentified cohorts in crime arranged for Jack to be taken. What do they care? I know Logan was concerned that the Chinese not get Jack and wanted him killed, but do his cohorts have any such concerns? Oh, well.........we will know next year.
Maybe that means season 6 will take place only a few days after season 5!
I agree....my son always refers to his submarine as a Boat not a ship.

Okay, here's the deal for next season. (I'm sure the scripting people are reading this... )... Aaron is assigned to guard Martha, wife of Moron, during President Moron's Impeachment proceedings, which could go on for months. Eventually, after the Bluetooth Brothers kill the Moron, she and Aaron get together. Aaron remains assigned to the White House for the new President. Then, Martha gets caught up in the Bluetooth's cleanup efforts (along with Karen of CTU, whom they kill on the way to her meeting).
Hey, that's the best I've got. lol! I like her too. I hope she comes back next year!
Samurai is Japanese, not Chinese
