We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
I'm back. Nice, quiet time along the beach, but way too short. Kids were picked up from the airport last night, and they look like they've been to Florida, complete with the requisite sunburn (not too bad, either of them).
In the news...
The Evil One is promising a long war with the United States and has, in his latest video tape, promised to make war upon civilians. He has also called upon his supporters to combat the UN "peacekeeping" force located in the Sudan.
The Evil One's logic for attacking civilians is that the civilians are supporting their governments' new Crusades upon the Mid-East.
Oil prices are easing back from their recent highs of $75/bbl.
Meanwhile, both Senate Majority Leader Frist and Speaker Hastert are engaging in a major cover thy six and blame someone else because it wasn't my fault game. Both leaders are blasting the President for not doing enough about high gasoline prices--well, Congress, where's the drilling in ANWR? Where's the additional refining capacity allowance?
And the daughter of the founder of Earth Day says gas prices are not nearly high enough (she doesn't say what "high enough" is).
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
till, Grampa Dave has said for YEARS that the Saudis and others are funding the Sierra Club, Greenpeace, etc. I think this is why they are adamant about not releasing their donor records.
Chair, I think the vast left wing has done a very good job of dividing and conquering our right wing flank. I don't know if there is untoward data against the right flank, to keep them in line, but I think they do not defend their issues strongly enough and they seem unable to present a united front. The whole vast-left wing run before every tv camera they can find, while the right wing stands back and waits for the reporters to come to them. The right flank has not learned, they are the majority party, the presstitutes of the msm are not their friends, the presstitutes will not look them up. They are not politely forceful enough to go before the American Public and tell them things the public needs to know. I'm having trouble with our Republican party and their nice guy approach, although Roomey says that's the way it must be done.
I think his identy begings with an OX-something or other, the crooked finger guy?
just saw a book out about Saudi's using money made from oil we purchase to buy our elected officials, on both sides, beaurocrats, certain press people and even business people, to keep us from opening new oil fields and building new refineries. I'm going to get it. I saw on msnbc, of all places, where Canada is harvesting their schale to get oil from it. They are going gang busters. Though we have it too, our unelected envirowackos, will not allow us to do it. They are afraid we will dirty the environment."
If we ever find out who the Opecker Princes and Thugs have been bribing with their blood oil money, there will not be enough rope, tar and feathers in this country to render street justice to those involved.
Re the Canadians, their companies have pushed a lot of the enviral whacko stuff on us like MTBE and now they are extracting a lot of oil from shale after the enviros told us no.
ICKY POO.
I'm afraid one of these days, we will feel the impact of another terrorist act. Our borders are too vast and too vacant.
That happened to us too, when we went to Pieadras Negres, I was so surprised, I asked the guard if he liked my picture. It ticked me off.

(((((((((((Bev))))))))))))))))
I will continue to hold you in my prayers.
Molly ~~~ I've been hoping to find a minute to congratulate you (and the others ... I know it wasn't a solo act ... LOL!) on the concert. I'm delighted but not surprised that it turned out that way. The bad rehearsals just challenged you all to get that music right. But I'm so glad for your sake that it turned out so well so you finish off the season with that feeling of satisfaction from knowing it was a job well done ... :-)
I can't always keep up with your comings and goings and wonder how you do such a good job of it ... LOL!
Well, hey there Tootsie. How's things?
Mr. Prairie and I will be seeing United 93. For just the reasons you listed. If the left opposes it, we figure it must be worth seeing.
I understand you come out of the movie angry. And personally I think that'll be a good thing for most Americans.
Watch for the poor reviews to ramp up from the media, though.
Hubby's about to get over his bronchitis and we're both staying busy.
I'm working frantically on the scrapbook from my MIL's birthday celebration back in February hoping to give it to her for Mother's Day.
I've never actually done a scrapbook before though have piddled some with the craft so I'm learning as I go. And this isn't a true scrapbook ... it's sort of just a prettied-up photo album. A full-fledged scrapbook would confuse my MIL so I'm facing a real challenge trying to do more than just stick pictures in an album but not make it too fancy for her to deal with.
I know you'll be doing better once you hear Doc's voice even though you know he's safe and sound back in his playground.

Well, you weren't talking to me but "hi" anyway ... ;-)
I'm still putting out resumes and making calls, but not much is happening.
Tomorrow, I find a local restaurant, and take a minimum wage job, just to keep body and soul together. At least I speak kitchen spanish.
/johnny
No word from the chef you worked with a few weeks ago? :-(
I know where you can get a job that pays a little above minimum wage ... but the commute might be a bit of a challenge, especially with today's gas prices.
I'll get a couple of kitchen jobs and make ends meet while I continue to look. I've been treating finding a job like a job, and putting in my 10 hours a day working the phones and e-mails.
It's a little frustrating. But... I'm at that break-over age, and I sorta suspected that might be a problem, along with the 3 year sabbatical to go to culinary school, and be on orders.
